Obviously I was kidding about Miss Milli Vanilli. But seriously, I wouldn't mind seeing a special guest. Someone like John Stewart would be cool. Just not Stevie. If he's gonna have Stevie it might as well just be a Fleetwood Mac show and I've already seen three of those.

Also, if she turns up then there may well be an army of her ultra obsessed tunnel vision (I see only Stevie, I care only about Stevie, everything else is of no consequence) fans, many of whom, I'm told, walked out at Lindsey's SoundStage performance once Stevie left the stage.
Ok, the "overshadowing" thing I can understand. Talented as he is, and as much of a following as I'm sure he has, someone like John Stewart definitely wouldn't overshadow Lindsey at an L.B. solo show. It just seemed odd to me that one "special guest" would be acceptable and welcomed, while the other would be cause for much bitching and moaning.

Truth be told, I can't even see how one would think Stevie overshadowed Lindsey on 'Soundstage'... she came out, got a nice round of applause (though no more than Lindsey himself was receiving between songs), sang unobtrusively on two songs and then was gone as quickly as she came. Wow, how dare she eat into his time?

For me, I think it's a nice gesture when Stevie or Lindsey turn up at one another's shows... Lindsey at a couple of the American Heart Institute gigs, Stevie at Soundstage. It doesn't instantly become a Fleetwood Mac show simply because of the other's presence. The atmosphere of the performance, the setting, the setlist... all of that sets it apart.

Don't get me wrong... like I told Christy, I can absolutely understand why Lindsey's biggest fans would, after all of these years, want to ONLY see Lindsey. Two solo tours in 14 years' time is quite a drought. But, hey, if Stevie turned up for one gig in LA, to sing with Lindsey on one or two of HIS songs, who would that kill?

This post of yours is the very first time I've heard of anyone walking out of Soundstage after Stevie was done singing. I'm thinking it's a bitchy little rumour someone must've told you, in the hopes that it would take off and become accepted as truth and as yet another sign of how awful and boorish Nicks fans are.

In reality, why would any self-respecting Nicks fan leave when the possibility existed that Stevie might come back out for the finale or an encore?
Stevie fans stay until the very end, lest they risk missing her even for a minute!

That's all I ask.
wouldn't it be funny if he had stevie join him on the tour, and then mick and john hopped on board.... isn't that weird?

Dude, it would be AWESOME if he would take the songs from this solo album, add a few backing vocals from Stevie, and then make it a FLEETWOOD MAC album! I'd pay for something like that!

It would certainly reinforce my belief in cycles.

He would probably miss again because he was in swimming, not baseball.

Thus, she could twirl & then kick right into his knees, which would send him careening backward toward the drum riser. But the press would question him afterward & they would agree: "We thought it was a joke" or "We thought it was part of the act."
David, I am your biggest fan.

He would so nail her with that guitar. Right in her keister. Of course it would just bounce right off. And she is hardly nimble enough to either dodge the throw or chase him around. He could run circles around her and taunt her. Doing spider fingers, lasso moves, and slow slow spins as he giggles and shimmies about the stage.

I'd pay to see that show.

Don't give him any ideas like that. It'll be at least 2 years before anything will be released!

OK...first up...mandatory viewing:

Make note of the following with the various segments:
1) stevie is pissed as she was not ready.
2) I certainly hope they have earplugs for that "precious" baby. EDIT: Lindsey has the best bum.
3) John is *snap* *snap* cool
4) payback is a bitch. msnicks can you not see Lindsey is tired and about to have a seize? why do you push him in that way. cruel.
5) can stevie do "40dates"...apparently she wants to go on forever.
6) mick..likegod? lindsey ever-uplifting is a great friend.
