Random Stevie Thoughts

I'm always having these random thoughts about Stevie that I want to share with you guys so I'm starting a thread for it since none exists. Kind of like the " Just Thought I'd Share" thread in the Chit-Chat forum but this one will be Stevie-related. So if you have something Stevie related you just want to share or ask and there's no thread for it post it here!

Here's mine for the day: I'm really pissed at myself! Back in the beginning of 2009 I was in a Stevie/FM lull but of course I was still going to the shows when they announced the dates for Unleashed. I bought tickets to Anaheim and Los Angeles. Well by the time the shows rolled around I was still stuck in a lull but went to the shows anyway. I thought I'd me more excited as the shows grew closer and I did a little but not much. Well to make a long story short I had 3rd row seats in Anaheim and 5th row seats in Los Angeles (and paid a bundle!) but for some stupid reason I decided to leave before Silver Springs (the encore) to avoid the crowds and get the heck out of the arenas. The thing is I knew before-hand SS was the encore yet I still chose to leave BOTH TIMES! How dumb was that? I would die right now to see FM do SS live (although I have seen it before)! I just can't figure out what could have been going through my mind at the tine . I would never do that today . At the time I thought it was worth it to go just for Storms but to this day I still regret my horrible decision to leave before Silver Springs. JTIS.

When I was really young (around 8 or 9) I thought Stevie was pretty but that she'd be so much prettier if she had blue eyes .

I thought the same thing. The older I've gotten, I've really learned to appreciate brown eyes though. You really have to spend time exploring brown eyes since they're so dark... which I think is cool. They tend to be more veiled and intense... which I like.

Me too! Now I couldn't imagine her with blue eyes. Someone should photoshop a shot though, I'd be curious what she'd look like...

A lot of folks like to scurry out of the arenas before the encores to beat the traffic. I've never been one of them. I let everybody leave and I wander around for a while and I'm usually the last one to leave the arena. I enjoy watching the crew take apart the stage and how fast they can do it.

I know right and that's what I usually do but for some reason I was just a fool! I also enjoy watching the drunk people stagger out of their seats to the parking lot rambling about the show lol.

I think they would wash her out a little if she did. She's more of an earth tone kind of gal, I think. I just wish she'd wear more colours than her traditional black these days. I would love her to resurrect her Maroon outfits with her gorgeous shawls. Maybe throw in some leaf greens and browns. But maybe I'm biased because they're my favourite colours to wear too lol.

Noooooooo.....Stevie's brown eyes are one of her finest features! I cannot even fathom thinking of her with blue eyes Her doe eyed brown eyes are so full of expression and mystery. I use to marvel at her beautiful soulful brown eyes when her HBO in concert would air back in the early 80's. I was hypnotized.

I find myself singing along to Stevie songs in my head at the worst moments; such as in class or during a lecture, and then wondering what on earth the teacher is on about.

As much as I love Silver Springs, the band (and Stevie) really haven't done it justice since the Dance tour. On the Unleashed tour here in Nashville, she didn't hit any of the high notes (which we know she can easily hit), and she didn't make the ending memorable at all. In fact, during the "follow you down/never get away" part, she and Lindsey didn't even look at each other. I found myself wishing I actually had left the arena early. Apparently, according to other Stevie fans I correspond with in different cities, Silver Springs was lackluster in other venues as well. You might have done yourself a favor.

I realized that too. I think that they got tired of the "look at each other" act and didn't want to perform again.

I saw FM 3 times during the Unleashed tour and thought the two times that they did SS, that it was fabulous. I thought in Philly it was Stevie's best vocal of the night. I also think that the SYW tour in Boston was very awesome. Loved the tempo kicked up ever so slightly.

That song casts a spell on me...I can listen to it 10 times in a row and never get tired of it.

Sometimes, during random moments of the day, I will catch myself wondering what type of fabulous thing Stevie is doing. This usually happens during my mundane job!

I was just listening to All the Beautiful Worlds and had a fantasy that I recorded it, it became a hit, and me and Stevie were performing it live on the Ellen Degeneres show. I know, I have a vivid imagination .
