LOVE Silver Springs.
That song is the sole reason I rediscovered Fleetwood Mac, and became a fan this time around. That Dance performance. Starts out all lovely and pretty. You could be my Silver Springs...my blue green colors flashing. Oh, how nice! How pretty! And turns into this stalkerish, obsessive, violently dysfunctional threat! It's so Stevie and Lindsey! Love it, even if it probably indicates that I need therapy quickly. And I love Say Goodbye. It's truly a pretty song from maybe a surprising source. Some of Lindsey's songs come from a place of anger, and this is surprisingly sane and accepting, and--yes, loving. It's almost anti-Silver Springs. So, there you have it. My two choices (for now). |
