What If They REMADE The Buckingham Nicks Album?

I would tell them that it's a horrible idea and I'd prefer to hear the album in it's original, perfect form without the sound of phlegm rattling in Stevie's throat. I also don't need to hear Lindsey's endless noodling added to it or his endless studio tricks to take away from the simplicity of it.

on another note, iTunes recently added Tusk and their review of it was not very nice towards Lindsey (not actually a surprise but I guess it's the tone that was shocking to me), while they seemed to bask in the glow that is La Nicks

I would prefer the old one, with additional "lost" tracks. I much prefer Stevie's younger voice, not that she doesn't sound great now, but I love the B/N voice...Rumours...Mirage...Belladonna...etc...

I would warmly welcome it. Obviously it would be totally different from the first, and I wouldn't expect anythig similar. They're different artists now, with different voices, much more experience and the dynamic between them looks fairly different to me. It would be very interesting to listen new music from them sans FM. My only doubt would be: are they capable at this point of their life to work on a record from the ground up arriving both alive at the end?

Ah, but you're assuming the liner notes are written by Stevie. I say no bloody way to that. Genuine insights & historical perspective would be offered by grand old rock critics, like Stephen Holden, Steve Pond, Greil Marcus, Ben Fong-Torres or Ken Tucker.

Chrissy Hynde is the only pop artist I can think of who might write good liner notes, her having worked briefly as a journalist before she started the Pretenders. Stevie's liner notes would be really stupid & vague; I wouldn't want that.

How about a rerelease of Buckingham Nicks remastered digitally in a box containing the CD AND a DVD concert of a 1975 Fleetwood Mac show, featuring a couple of Buckingham Nicks songs? The box would be sort of like "Enchanted," with a booklet of dozens & dozens of photos -- Buckingham Nicks in concert in 1973 & 1974, Fleetwood Mac hiring the new members in 1975, Fleetwood Mac playing early gigs with the newbies -- & GREAT LINER NOTES, TEN PAGES LONG IN SMALL TYPE, WRITTEN BY KEN TUCKER!!
