I noticed no one has mentioned Christine!! I take it most of us think she is truly enjoing her retirement in England attending to her flower garden.
My wish is though is that she gets bored of the green thumb and decides to joing the gang for one last fling for the 30th anniversary of Rumours in 2007. A true "Fleetwood Mac Farwell Tour. It doesn't have to be 135 dates--short and sweet would be just fine. |

A rock and roll chic like Christine can't live on tulip beds alone. Sooner or later she'll come crawling back to the Mac. Just you watch!

THANK YOU!!! I couldn't agree more. She has pretty much said this very thing in various interviews through the years. Lindsey has always been envious of people's adoration of Stevie. I can understand this. He was the creative mastermind behind Fleetwood Mac's records and he didn't get much credit for that, at least on stage. I think, especially in recent years to keep the peace, Stevie has intentionally toned down her performances and look to keep Lindsey happy. I think she feels a lot more free when she's solo and it shows, on all of her solo tours.

I think the future of Fleetwood Mac holds some sort of something-or-other for the 40th anniversary in 2007.
Personally, I hope it involves some sort of public humiliation for the band that isn't too expensive for consumers to witness or hear. I"d like to see a Fleetwood Mac version of Cirque du Soleil. Imagine a show where every member of the Mac -- Stevie, Danny, Bob Welch, John McVie, etc. -- exhibit acts of courage & skill, breathtaking physiographic formations & death-defying stunts hundreds of feet above the venue floor. See Christine McVie & Dave Walker soar above the crowds on the trampoline & the power track, whilst singing "I'm a Road Runner" & the original, unrecorded studio take of "Hypnotized"! Witness Stevie Nicks & Peter Green take Dave Mason by the ankles & swing him skyward over the vast abyss of space in the banquine act! |

Well, I would love to see Stevie finally publish her book of memoirs - but only after she has declared herself positively finished ever recording and/or touring again.
Late 2006: New Stevie album; very short tour. But then she will selflessly and valiantly leave the road to rejoin Fleetwood Mac for... 2007: Fleetwood Mac tour - Mammoth, heavily-promoted Rumours 30th Anniversary blah blah blah. Christine will join them on a few shows in the UK. As much as it kills me to say... I don't think we'll see another Fleetwood Mac album. 2008 onwards... Stevie gigs in Vegas... And Lindsey... anyone's guess. I don't see a solo album ever happening, unless he produces and releases it on his own label. I don't think he'll do a solo tour.

Since 2007 will be the band's 40th anniversary, I bet they do SOMETHING.
What I'D like to see would be a new Fleetwood Mac album, however, not what most of you are thinking. I'd like to see an album of new material from all of the members who had significant tenures in Fleetwood Mac, specifically Stevie, Lindsey, Christine, Peter, Jeremy, Bob Welch, and Billy. Obviously, Christine still won't tour, and I bet Jeremy could be counted out as well. But, I'd love to see a 40th anniversary tour with Mick, John, Stevie, Lindsey, Peter, Bob Welch, and Billy.

I can see them doing another Mac album but i don't think they will tour with it BUT i can see them doing a Rumours anniversary tour
and they don't need an album for that. it would be AWESOME tho if each member picked one or 2 of THEIR favorite songs (from other artists etc) and performed them........like Stevie did with 'Rock & Roll"
