If you're on Facebook with people who feel like you do and share most of your opinions and you hear that The Ledge is a downer and taints any enthusiasm you feel for the band, then the opinions of the people you like on the matter are probably something you will agree with, so there's no need to come here and get irritated. If you were irritated a few years ago and left and just came back to see if things were still bad, they are still the same. So, you should be with people who share in your feelings for the band and multiply that positive vibe and don't bring it down. That's what I did. I came here in 2003 and didn't like it and didn't come back until I could make it a place that I did like. The things that made the Ledge it's most popular aren't here today and they are the things that I personally did NOT like about it. That's why I didn't hang around here then. But what's true now that wasn't true then is that there are so many more social media outlets that allow people to identify the groups they like best and to converse with those people, while avoiding those they don't like. That's what everyone should do. We have choices now that we didn't have years ago. Michele |

. I'd understand if you were just a tad defensive since, after all, it is your board. ![]() Not that I need to defend myself, however I am a fan of every member of FM (Rumours era), have all of their individual solo albums. Nevertheless, Stevie is most definitely my favorite artist of this band, and even I have been critical of her on occasion. ![]() |

In my opinion, Lindsey did not do anything magnificent or unique with "Twisted" - which is a great composition. It was middle of the road production. Nice & pleasant - kinda like his "EP" material. Not to mention she handed over the motherload on the SYW project?? So something sure changed?!? ![]() |

EXCELLENT points especially on the fact they were offered Joan of arc and went with wasamattababy instead And Stevie's mirage songs are some of her best material. That's alright is FAR better then after the glitter fades, the comparable country song from Bella Donna. straight back is awesome. Basically a shorter sisters of the moon. And gypsy is well gypsy. All fit the flow and feel of mirage.

Lindsey's songs were far superior than Stevie's on SYW. Some of them like ilume and Thrown Down were ruined by bad lyrics. Lindsey did a great job with Smile at You... Joan of Arc - gross. You proved my point. |

As for people not liking the hostility towards their favorite band member, there are plenty of Lindsey fans who don't like the forum either. They stay away. Are there as many Lindsey fans staying away as there are Stevie fans? No, because Stevie has more fans. But fans on both sides feel spurned and insulted, certainly. Michele |

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^joan of arc is an awesome song! Don't know if I want her to do it now tho. It was a perfect fit for tango and now I feel it should just live in demo land for us die hards.
And about SYW, stevie and Lindsey both contributed great songs. My #1 is from Lindsey then the rest of the top 5 are Stevie's songs for me then Lindsey takes the rest of the higher middle songs and Stevie gives probably the 3 worst. So I feel she gives the highs and the lows of the album. Lindsey gives the highest high and the good but no bad. And like Stevie what I just said probably only makes sense to me.

She seems to have a combination of both real & fake fur in her clothing & home decor. That definitely looks like real fur. If the hat was a gift, you can't blame her for it, though.
However, she wore a fake fur coat & hat to Sundance last year: ![]()

Wow, either I'm checking in and reading a completely different forum or I've got pretty thick skin and a realistic approach to everyone in FM.
The band members are human. They have foibles. We know those foibles, we call them out, we bitch about them, engage in a fair bit of hand-wringing but ultimately, if we didn't care we wouldn't be here. At least that's how I see it. Some people think Lindsey's foibles are endearing and Stevie's are annoying and vice versa and give full voice to both sets of opinions in the various threads. I don't see the problem. ![]() . |
