Like I said, I truly hope this equates to another solo album... SOON! But my inner realist is prodding me telling me not to get too excited.
I agree and have my doubts as well. However, since 40 seconds of the song has been offically "leaked", I'm thinking that maybe it was leaked for a reason: to build interest and excitment over an upcoming release. It seems, to me, like a somewhat calculated marketing tactic. I'm hoping!!!

Stevie is not a stupid person. She knows the future is now. She can't stockpile forever. I think she is really going to do something.

I thought about that as well, and it makes perfect sense. After all, I'm sure Stevie would be rather pissed if the snippet was leaked without her permission (given her past regarding her demos being stolen and sold)... and would probably end here recording relationship with Dave. I'm just trying to stay realistically hopeful here regarding another album.

A duets album is not entirely implausible- look what it did for the careers of Robert Plant and Alison Kraus!
WOW! From getting a little snippit of a demo the assumption blows up to:

A duet album!

A tour!

And Stevie singing Eurythmic songs!

lol...chill people!

Personally I don't think it will be a duet album.
I think it will only be a duet

IDK, he has fallen rather quiet about Stevie recently...

Default Everybody Loves You - Stevie with Dave Stewart (new song clip)

Dave Stewart is supposedly producing new songs for a Stevie solo album. Here's a clip I found earlier today.

"Everybody Loves You" 44 second clip (37 seconds of actual sound)

All right, I can't upload the file (it's too big). Here are two links to it. I hope they still work.

The plot thickens.., suspense is building!

Seems like the recording & collaborating must be going well. Dave's been recording and writing with Stevie for almost a month now!!

His 1st tweet about Stevie http://twitpic.com/159ut6 - wrote a great song with Stevie Nicks on Monday called "Everybody Loves You" 8:49 AM Feb 25th. confirmed they have been writing together at least since Monday,Feb 22nd. Dave also tweeted that they were working on 4 songs March 4th & again on March 5th, AND now they were recording all day yesterday! http://twitpic.com/18ykbs - recorded all day yesterday with Stevie Nicks and never once took off my favorite Alexander McQueen Hat! Everyone check out these 2 pics, this must be Stevie's rock n' roll penthouse!! Both pics show what looks like Stevie's white Bosendorfer piano, and the room is all aglow in white with huge windows...very cool!!! When Dave Stewart said "yeah we are making "album" in a very new way", perhaps he's alluding that Stevie decided to record the "album" in her penthouse studio, which is very possible with all the technology out now, esp. Mac's Logic Studio software, and much cheaper then logging studio time.

This is becoming very interesting. Just when we were all but giving up hope that Stevie would want to record again. I'm going to remain optimistic that this is going to come to fruition as a solo project. So excited...It's been too long.

Stevie likes to record quickly, she does not like to labor in the studio for months on end.
As I was looking back at an old TISL interview (Mix 96.9 in Phoenix - Interview May 2001) posted on NicksFix, Stevie mentioned that the actual recording of TISL was only about 4 months of logged studio time between January through December 2000. And TISL took so long because Stevie began recording w/ Sheryl Crow as producer in late 1998, recording Sorcerer & Candlebright over 4 days, and when Sheryl had to drop out of the project to promote her just released CD "The Globe Sessions", that left Stevie in a tailspin for all of 1999. She worked w/ a couple other people during this time (one of which we know was Dallas Austin) but it didn't work out.

So alas, my long drawn out point is if Stevie and Dave are getting along and liking what they are producing, and it does seems like they are really on a roll, we may see a new solo cd completed very quicky. All that would be left to decide is when "they" want to release it. Will they decide to release it in the fall/holiday time period. Or more likely, Stevie seems to like to release most of her records in the spring/summer time to coincide with a summer shed tour. So realistic expectations/calculations would put it's release in the spring/summer 2011, exactly 10yrs since TISL!!!
