Lana mentioned in an interview a little while ago that her producer Rick Nowels, who as we know had worked with Stevie on RAL, was working with Stevie again, then I guess he's the one to thank for this. If he's going to take Dave Stewart's place then he's already done pretty good.

I loved Rick Nowels work with Belinda Carlisle, and I would love it if he was working with Stevie again. Stevie is the one who gave him his big break originally, so it would be awesome to for them to work together again.

isn't Lana Del Rey Jimmy Iovine's protégée, like Stevie used to be decades ago? i think he even compared and contrasted them on some talk show few years back when she was just breaking through. makes sense he would connect them to try working together.

Yes, I remembered that too, but I think the main catalyst has been Rick Nowels who is Lana's main producer and, as she recently mentioned in an interview, has worked with Stevie again a little while ago.

I don't know, I don't recall ever hearding about him working with Stevie again after TISL, so it might be something we have yet to see.

It was in her inteview with Dazed last month:

Even with Ultraviolence which I did with Dan (Auerbach), I did the record first with Rick, and then I went to Nashville and reworked the sound with Dan. I believe he co-wrote some songs with Stevie that ended up on Say You Will.
