Can't find the photo right now, but it was an otherwise nice shot of Stevie from the 70s and a Ledgie commented 'what's going on with her fingernails?'-- they were un-manicured and discolored--
I know exactly what it was, as I type and look at my fingernails- it was hair-dye. She didn't wear the plastic gloves inside the box (does anyone?) when self-coloring at home. The sh*t just won't come off your fingernails for at least 5 days!

I definitely do! I had no idea that people don't use the gloves. You look like a mechanic otherwise.

Well, Jannie, I will from now on! A mechanic with dyed hair and grungy fingernails was so not what I was attempting to achieve! The gloves just seem clumsy, but I see now that they are there for a reason!

Also, take a plastic grocery bag (recycle!) and wrap it around your head while you're waiting-my husband said this helps the color take better.
