It would be nice if Stevie was actually tweeting.....It takes all the fun out of it to know it is that assistant of hers (Karen) and she has has zero personality.

I know it's unlikely, but some of the tweets have been so odd I've wondered if it actually is Stevie.

I really don't think it's her. I think they came up with this bonkers persona so that Stevie has deniability when she gets asked a gazillion times over the next month 'So I see you're on Twitter? I thought you hated all that?' And she can go, 'Well, that's not me. That's my assistant, Karen, and anyway we're only doing it to shift units, which is why you'll observe that what we tweet is vacuous and demented. We don't believe in it. We don't think we can, y'know, build any actual relationships this way with, for example, my fans. Oh no. And anyway, your hair's on fire and I really have to ...' **grabs handbag and scarpers**

I am not a tweeting expert. I have replied to her several times and yet, it has never shown up on the main page. In a way, it's kind of creepy-strange what they have done, and very cool.

It is not actually Stevie Nicks, nor her personal assistant.

If a said celebrity is the one actually doing the tweeting - there is a "blue authentification" checkmark on the main twitter page and it will say verified account.

Look at twitter.com/charliesheen.

Celebrities who endorse or use twitter whether it be them or their staff verify their accounts for legal reasons.

It's ridiculous. Regardless as to whether this is coming from the Stevie camp, one thing is absolute: Stevie does not tweet!!!!!

But seriously, must be Stevie's camp--surely Dave would have mentioned something if it wasn't, and as others have mentioned the username Stevienicks can't have been available.

And of Stevie's camp, who but Stevie would come up with this stuff? I think it's entirely possible that someone else is typing it for her, but only Stevie would think an insane alter ego/invisible friend would be a fun way to promote her cd.
