Stevie suffers from poor vision- the lighting was sort of dim for someone that doesn't see well and the pathway was dark. I think she was just nervous about taking a spill. I'm sure the memory of Xtina falling stands clear in her mind. For Stevie, a fractured ANYTHING just before she goes on tour would suck for everyone. Nothing wrong with taking someone arm for this gig.

This was my thought too, with all the celeb's taking a fallon TV lately she wanted to make sure she wansnt one of them? It did look a bit...creepy tho

Yes there is some california country rock but Ghosts Are Gone is a straight forward rocker, Wide Sargasso Sea is her intense/artsy rocker, Moonlight is her torch song, New Orleans is Nicks' at her jazziest, You May Be The One is her at her bluesiest, Secret Love is her techno wistful song, Soldier's Angel is at her grittiest, and Everybody Loves You is her pop gem. And the list goes on. Only For What It's Worth which is her acoustical-ish entry, In Your Dreams, and Cheaper Than Free are the obvious safe zones for her. The exception possibly being My Heart although even that song is the closest ode to Led Zeppelin I have ever heard from her in terms of structure and style. Lastly, Annabel Lee - I credit DS with taking that pretty good demo and turning it into the victory anthem it is today. This album is far more diversified than people seem to acknowledge...

That was totally mindblowing, the fact that she sang it slightly lower in the verses, sounded weird at the start but got extra impressive when the guy sang the high pitched parts. It's been a while feeling proud for her, but this was something that really choked me up. Well done good old diva...this was not about you, it was about him through one of the greatest gems ever. Respect.

Very well said. I agree 100%. I haven't seen this program, but read about it in RS. I also like the Martinez girl with Pat from Train.
As for the steps, bad eyesight, platform boots, 63 yrs old! Respect too.

Check out this great red carpet interview with some of the folks from NBC's The Voice, including Stevie Nicks who performed, to hear some interesting tidbits!

One of the coolest things we caught during it is that Adam and Stevie plan to duet at some point! That'd be so FAB!

Go ahead and watch it (the 14 minutes is worth it), and we're glad to hear that everyone is back for season two, except Cee-Lo, who is still deciding but leaning towards a return!

Question: You got to duet with Stevie Nicks on “Landslide” during the Voice finale. There was a ton of eye contact between the two of you throughout the performance. Had you had a lot of time to rehearse? What was going on between you two at that moment?


JC: It was so awesome. [Laughs.] We were so dialed into each other. We’d maybe gotten to rehearse it three times that day. I was super nervous about it, because I was singing with Stevie Nicks, and she’s just a legend. You’re looking over to your left and there’s this icon, and you’re singing these wonderful harmonies with her. And I was moved to realize the amazing opportunity I’d been given. There are so many accomplished artists who’ve been performing and famous for decades who haven’t gotten a chance to sing with her. Something special was happening. Eye contact was key; I was following her every move and I wanted it to be as clean as possible. We were looking right into each other’s eyes and connected for three and a half minutes. One of the most amazing things ever.

I remember reading the "Ask Stevie" page on the NicksFix and someone asked Stevie what music she liked and she said Maroon 5. The two are obviously fans of each other so I can't imagine they wouldn't sing together at some point.

Stevie singing a song with Maroon 5 would be a huge profile booster for her, the band's really hot now that the lead singer was a coach on The Voice. I only hope that, Stevie being Stevie, doesn't mean it doesn't happen for another decade or so

Colon mentioned that the night that he won that Adam Levine told him, “Hold on for the ride man, because it’s going to be crazy.”

It was also Levine who surprised Colon and told him that he would be singing with Stevie Nicks during the finale of The Voice.

“I just about lost it. I mean, I just couldn’t believe it,” he recalled. “You know, singing with Stevie was just so mind blowing to me, and I was following her every move.”

It was shortly after his performance with Stevie Nicks that Colon would be announced the first ever winner of The Voice. He shared with us that it wasn’t his name that he was expecting to be called.
