Incredible performance!!!
I loved the way Karen emerged from the shadows and grabbed all the flowers from the flower girl and then Lori pointed to more and sent the girl a running to 'em. |

Yes, someone should have given her a Snoopy! I had a gift for her, but completely forgot about it and left it at home because I was in such a rush to get to the Wiltern thinking the line would already be wrapped around the building. It wasn't.

![]() I was coming through the same time she was (keep in mind, I was second in line going in!), and watching her shove people was actually unbelievable. A few people tried to get the security guards to do something, but she ended up front row ![]() Hated. Her.

Everyone has pretty much summed up the show. I do not have too much to add.
But I will say that in over 30 years of seeing Stevie, this show was in the top 2 I have ever seen. As far as the setlist goes, it was the best. And maybe the performance as well. I mostly rate the SIR TISL show at the same level for sentimental reasons. Being with a dear friend, the craziness surrounding it, hanging with Stevie and everyone after the show, seeing It's Only Love live, etc. IDK. Maybe it was better. Hard to say. Ultimately, I just agree with everyone about the quality of this show. She was committed from the first moment until the last note of Love Is. I do not believe I have ever seen her so focused and so wild. It is a tough call to make. In the old days, she was nuts and coked up and crazy. But every one of those show was erratic. For every historic performance of one song, she was a mess on the next. And that goes back to every tour except maybe 1975. We will never see wacked out Stevie again, but the fact is that on this night she was not only the modulated and controlled singer we have come to know the last 15 years, she was ultra present and spontaneous. It did bother me that she did not use her breathy falsetto voice on the verses of Moonlight. She probably has her own reasons for doing this. Maybe she cannot project that voice loud enough over the music without feedback. Dunno. But the belt at the end kind of made up for it. Overall it was a historic show. And made all the better that I was with a pack of 5 other great pals and we got to hang out, have a great time, and sing our guts out and have a nice little party at the show. We were just past the first level, so far enough away to not be squashed but close and high enough to have a great view. I thought many times during the show how lucky I am to have met so many great friends through the music. My life is so much richer for being a fan of Stevie. At many moments I held my friends and they held me, as the music nailed us so hard that we literally broke down and lost it. We have that history together and understand exactly why a certain song may shake our friend to the core. We have all loved and lost and we get it. On that count, I guess I am one of the crazy people at a Stevie show howling and singing and drinking and having the time of my life. All I can say to all those people who hate that noise and singing along is that seeing Stevie is a not a trip to a museum to worship and be silent. It is a party. It is a thrill to me that everyone knows the words and sings along. All of us bellowed and sang through the new songs. It is a love fest. If we aren't singing, and mostly on key in my crowd, we are crying. We are obviously not yelling "We Love you Stevie!" at serious moments in Love Is, but the rest of the time we are singing loudly along or weeping in a friggin rapture. And a rapture is the best way to describe the evening. It was perfect.
