Most of us know that pneumonia isn't something to screw around with, and I think that everyone who understands that would've supported her if she missed any of these opportunities. Stevie is not some young teeny bopper pop star that can release their singles every few months she already should've moved way on from this single. Being on Dancing With the Stars is huge exposure but like I said performing this song and old hits really won't help boost album sales.

True, but I also saw several people lamenting about the lost promotion opportunities. I'm not suggesting that anyone here thinks Nicks should risk her health because I don't think anyone thinks that, but I do think she sometimes gets blasted for not doing "enough" to promote the album (to be fair, that criticism gets leveled at WB way more often than at Nicks).

What if WB and/or Nicks know full well that the best success for a classic artist are continual slow steady sales of the album? Albums do sometimes start moving back up the charts too. We sometimes forget that.

very well said...I have to keep reminding myself that I love the album and my odd obsession for her to sell a crap load of cds has nothing to do with my enjoyment of IYD....I shouldn't need it to sell a million copies to validate my love for her music

But apparently it is, since the album has moved up 12 spots or so on iTunes. I understand the point of view that "Secret Love" isn't a 'grab your attention and make you buy my album' single in some people's eyes so they're frustrated that it's being performed but at least Nicks is actually performing a song from In Your Dreams. If she had only performed "Landslide" I still think it would have been good exposure but it's definitely much better to actually perform a new song.

Agree. Stevie's health is the most import. WB needs to get their ass in gear. This CD is awesome and deserves major promos! Stevie just needs to a great setlist together and we are all set.
