Not to go back to the hand thing because this discussion makes me sad but seriously guys, it's gone beyond fashion statement at this point. There's something going on under there.

Is it terrible that I'd rather nap than watch Stevie sing "Secret Love" yet again, and with a less-than-stellar voice on top of that?

Nope. Secret Love does not translate live particularly well. Not to mention I'm still sad at how bad she sounded last time she was on Ellen when she wasn't sick. So I skipped the show and power walked to IYD today instead.

You didn't miss much imo. It was a total throwaway performance.
Besides the fact that SL does not translate well live, Stevie's annoying pantomimes were on overdrive I feel bad for feeling this way, but she has many more energetic and enticing songs on IYD than SL that it's driving me crazy. Hell I could easily name 10 songs on IYD I'd rather see her perform over SL. It's just deranged because this album deserves better representation...ARggggg!

Stevie did look cute though, esp in the small after song interview with Ellen, and the red dress was a welcome change, even though it's exactly the same replica of the black one.

Just saw it... I think she sounded great! The music sounded way better on Ellen than Oprah... Stevie's voice seemed fine to me.. Even her speaking voice didn't seem off from what it normally is... Maybe it did slightly, but she handled the song just fine.

As for the long sleeves and hand gloves... Personally I think she's just hiding wrinkly skin.... That or she likes to be cozy, those clothes are probably light as a feather so there's probably not much warmth with them...

I think someone said it's probably arthritis? And that's why she wears the gloves; more support. Or something along those lines, that would make the most sense, one would think.
