Default Essential videos.

Hey guys!

A few weeks ago somebody game me a copy of a documentary on the making and touring of 'Tusk', I'm not sure what its called, but it was really intersting! It showed a side of that band I hadn't quite seen before. My question is, besides the official "still in print" videos like The Dance and Tango in the Night, what are the "must see" documentaries or concert videos out there? I hear a lot about the "Mirage Concert" and the "White Wing Dove" tape - what is those exactly? Anything else us new to the internet and trading have been missing out on?

Cheers!
Evan

Maybe. But not with me or Christine or Lindsey. Christine and I will always be close; Lindsey just plain doesn't like me. I never had any musical training of any kind. I just had this innate ability to walk in, sit down at a piano, and write a song in five minutes, and go to bed. It drives him nuts. - Stevie Nicks, 1994

The video that you just got is an officially released video from around the Tusk tour. The actual name of the video is: Tusk Documentary & Live Concert. The original video is fairly rare. The Mirage video that you referred to a must have. It's no longer in print but eBay has copies all the time. There are a number of pro shot videos from the 1970's that are bootlegs:1975 Largo MD, 1977 Tokyo Japan, 1978 Largo MD & 1979 Largo MD. The 1975 Largo show is terrific and has very good quality. The 1977 Tokyo show is also great with pretty good quality. Unfortunately, the 1978 & 1979 shows are very poor quality but the shows are great. These videos are really Fleetwood Mac(the Rumours line up) at their peak. Hope this helps.

The Mirage Video is a must-have for any Mac fan IMO. I just ordered a DVD copy off of E-bay from this company or whatever in Brazil. The packaging is a bit odd, with the 1990 line-up on the cover, and Gypsy is called "Gipsy," b ut the quality is good and I am finally glad to have the whole show. There really aren't any "bad" points to the video. My personal highlights are "The Chain," "Go Your Own Way," and the now-infamous performance of "Sisters of the Moon," with all of Stevie's non-sense at the end.

Now the Tango video - there's one to stay away from. It is 80's cheese at it's peak.

Default I love the Mirage video!!

If you think the Tusk video was great, wait until you see the Mirage one! Go to ebay and check for it. Such and incredible video - Stevie is so awesome in it! She sings with such passion in all her songs.

The 1975 video is cool, too. I think this video was taken before Stevie "developed" her stage outfit. I think she is wearing jeans.

The 1977 Rumours tour video is awesome, too. There are alot of behind the scenes shots with the band before and after concerts, meeting fans, etc. There is even one incident during this video where Stevie is clearly coked out - stoned - drunk - going around hugging all the roadies and talking about only taking "one hit". Thank God she survived those days and we can now have a little chuckle about such antics.

I think I watched the Tango video once - no Lindsey, so it wasn't very good IMO.
