What's with the Secret Love video?

I really don't give a crap about videos. But when I saw the video for Secret Love I wanted to kill the editor.

It was barely watchable for the fact it was edited by someone who either on hard hyper-drugs, or has serious attention disorder. The entire video was a sequence of shots that lasted less than 2 seconds. It was just chop, chop, chop, chop... Is this the style all videos use now...at this fast a pace? It's ridiculous.

It was so annoying and frustrating to see a set up, and in the blink of an eye it goes to another set up, and another, and another. It was relentless, giving the viewer nothing to grasp and no room to breathe. Nice images...but if you blink you miss them.

It just gave me a headache.

Yes, it is the style. So many people have such short attention spans now that most video clips seem to do this constant shifting.

I guess thats the new in thing these days.I try watching H&G tv .they have those shaky quick moving camera angles like the cameraman was drinking the paint thinner.sloppy editing .Yes It gives me a headache too.

I have to agree with you. I didn't enjoy it because it was just too hard to take in visually. I found myself stopping the video and looking at it frame by frame. And sometimes even that didn't work.

Besides the crappy editing, some parts just looked really cheap! It also reminds me too much of the "Tonight, Tonight" video. She does look gorgeous though
