I hate to say this but my feeling is that AC will be canceled too. For her to do that show may be too soon. They made that mistake during the TISL tour the first time she was sick. She got ill again and had to cancel more shows. She should just rest and do a CD re-launch at the end of the month.

I feel so bad for people like Dani that have traveled so far to see these performances. May our prayers be with Stevie for her quick recovery.

Damn dude. First off, I hope Stevie gets better and takes the time she needs. This is not good for the week of her album...when she needs to be seen and heard. Worst timing ever!

BUT - all these folks flying around the country and shelling out money for the ticket and hotel and flight and everything. I feel so bad for them. Everyone. And even if it is rescheduled those people likely can't make the trip again.

What's the point of a CD Launch like a month later? Just officially cancel it so everyone can get refunds asap. Sad. This could have been momentous and historical.

Maybe my words are misinterpreted. I’m simply saying that maybe at the end of the month there can be a week where Stevie can make TV appearances. I know not everyone will be able to travel again. It sucks all around, for everyone and Stevie. Not sure what you mean officially cancel “it.” Cancel what exactly? The CD is coming out tomorrow, that can’t be canceled, if that is what you are referring to. I just fear that if Stevie tries to do a show this Friday in AC it may be too soon. She may not be fully recovered and she’ll just end up getting sick again.

I don't see her flying out here for one show and back again. I could be wrong, but I see it being canceled.

I feel sooooo bad for all those who've already arrived in NYC & spent so much money to get there & make their hotel reservations. But, on the bright side, Stevie is VERY dedicated to her fans & when this show is rescheduled, I'm sure she will go out of her way to make it worth all the time, trouble & expense. You might even get some give-aways that you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. So, try to be optimistic, even tho I know you're probably crushed, pissed & worried about Stevie right now, it's hard to do, but I don't see her NOT rescheduling & making it up in a BIG way.

Anyone else remember the SAME THING happening with Stevie around the release of TISL? She had to cancel many shows because of bronchitis, I believe it was.
Poor girl She was the first one I thought of.

Call me pessimistic but in the back of my head I kept thinking that something would happen and the show would be cancelled.

Many of you know my mom has been ill. She is 75. She started having troubles in her early 60s. Small illnesses like the flu were not so small. Stevie needs to take really good care of herself, especially since she is in constant contact with sooo many people and sooo many germs. If she has Pneumonia that could be very life threatening, especially at her age.

My comments weren't really directed at yours or anything. I was just saying that if the venue would officially cancel the show, then people can get refunds sooner than later. Agree with everything else you said. And yes, it sucks for Stevie too. I hope she feels better soon.

See. I think Stevie lives in such a fantasy world that she's pretty disconnected from her fans in that way. She is dedicated and loves her fans, but I haven't seen evidence that she's one to really go over the top to make anything up to her fans.

I agree with you and Travis. I think people with tickets to AC better perk up.

I'm not so confident about a reschedule. I mean, the whole point of this thing was to have a big party, get notices in the music press and possibly even film footage. A month from now IYD will probably be well on its descent off the charts. The horse has almost left the barn and Stevie is not riding on it.

I didn't want to bring it up but that thought crossed my head. Bernie Mac died from complications from Pneumonia at age 50. I'm very sad first of all for those like Dani who flew from Seatle to NYC on borrowed money and even for thos like me just dying to hear what new songs she was gonna play and how they turned out, but the Stevie health issue trumps all of that. She better be taking every precaution and better not set foot on a stage or do one bit of CD promotion until she's 100 percent.

In fact we should tweet Dave to make sure he doesnt allow her to go back to work 1 second too soon.
