Thanks for sharing this! I have to say, I REALLY wish these reviews we're starting to see trickle in were more detailed!
There were a few things that grabbed me about this review. Mainly, the title track being described as "racy." For some reason I'd expected it to be a dreamy, slower song. Secondly, I loved hearing the harmonies on Soldier's Angel are very Fleetwood Mac esque. I honestly didn't expect Lindsey to leave much of a vocal presence on the song at all. Thirdly, I love that every single review of this album describes it as "classic Nicks." ![]()

Sounds like a decent review, although there isn't much substantive stuff about the music. I wonder what they mean when they describe the title track as 'racy'? I get the feeling it might be a 'screw you, you had your chance and blew it' kind of song.

I had to reread that section of the review to figure out what the reviewer meant by "racy," because that comment definitely made my ears prick up too! Seeing how the preceding sentence was talking about Secret Love being mid-tempo, I'm inclined to believe "racy" is describing tempo, not lyrical subject matter. I could be totally wrong, though... it's pretty ambiguous.

He says download For What It's Worth, yet, he doesn't mention it in his review. Decent review though.

Made me notice the blurb right above that, too. Stevie would just die of pride at being compared to Bob Dylan, wouldn't she? ![]()

Yeah, this album has been described as Bob Dylanesque by a lot of people and For What It's Worth has been mentioned on everyone's list as one of the best songs, if not the best.

It's an homage to the album title and is saying that you don't have to dream about the album sounding like classic Nicks because it does
. I took it as a wholly positive thing.

I was wondering that too. Maybe it is out of 4 though? In a way it doesn't really matter anyway, because it's all highly subjective. There are several albums that I don't greatly like, but those albums often contain four or five songs that I love. I guess critics can't account for that when giving an overall rating to an album.
