The new KD Lang is fantasic . Her voice is like a hot knife through butter ( if that makes any sense ). Adele, i can't get enough of Rolling in the Deep ! Duffy, Rockferry, and Tom Petty , he's ALWAYS in my rotation . I've been trying to avoid Tom because he always reminds me of Stevie and iam trying to take my mind OFF of waiting for IRD, but i love me some TP !!!

That makes sense to me..."It's only right that you should play the way you feel it".

For me - after last weeks gorge-fest - Cheaper Than Free song & video, the Webster Hall tickets and The O Show - I've been on a Stevie hiatus (music-wise) until the album drops or leaks -which ever is first . I haven't even watched the trailer...in weeks. I'm trying to keep the songs as fresh as possible for when I hear & take in the full presentation. The week of release, I'll be in downtown Manhattan woohoo!, everything all around me will be "electric" and I'll soon be Deep Dish into Stevie again. I'm calling it now... Stevie will knock our breathe away with In Your Dreams - we'll be left squealin' and screaming for mercy

So till that explosion, I'm trying hard (musically) to distract myself with some cool new releases. I'm even considering Avril L. latest, after hearing her stone cold crystalline vocals on "Love Is A Battlefield" w/ Pat last week (while I try hard to forget her deer in the headlights expression during the same performance) I know there are some Avril fans here - how would you rate her latest record?? Also looking forward to Fleet Foxes and Kate Bush's “Director's Cut”. It's been a great year for new music so far for me...and only it's only gonna get better.

Perfect sense! I've seen her "live" a few times now, and her voice is "like butter" and even more impressive in concert. One of my favorite concerts was when I saw her perform at the beautiful Santa Fe Opera House in 04' or 05' after releasing her mind blowing canadian cover album "Hymns of the 49th Parallel" which featured choice song selections from Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Jane Siberry, and Neil Young, to name a few. Check out that album, It's brilliant!

The new KD is good? I was debating cuz her last cd was kinda boring for me. The last KD cd I liked was the one with Summer Fling on it. ( can't remember the title)

I've been listening to The Ready Set.

Can't listen to too much Stevie, it makes more antsy than I already am. But I have listened to Secret Love and Cheaper Than Free alot lately.

I hear my daughter's music mostly, like Miranda Cosgrove (I love a certain remix of Kissin You, I must admit) and Jennette McCurdy. And I love this song "Freak the Freak Out" by another teeny-bopper singer. (do not judge me, it's very nice to be out of the Wiggles and Blue Clues eras!!!!!)

And I have the Crystal Visions cd in the car, and the little boy I take care of now loves Stevie Nicks, after seeing her sing on Oprah, and now he likes hearing her when I am driving him home. He claps and goes "ya!" every now and then. Too cute!

Same thing happened to me, well not today. I liked it at first, then one day BOOM! Epic is an understatement!

All the hype's actually gotten me to re-open my Stevie catalogue. I've been listening to the Trouble In Shangri La album quite a bit.... and The Wild Heart.

I've also been listening to some old demos which I've resparked a love for after hearing Secret Love. Although I always feel guilty listening to those.....

But as for non Stevie/Mac:
Avril Lavigne's "Goodbye Lullaby"....Sweet Thing's self titled album....Hmm....The Tragically Hip's entire discography really. Man, how can you tell I'm Canadian?

Default well..

I've been listening to Adele's "21" and the Foo Fighter's "Wasting Light" which are both terrific records. Adele's song "Set Fire to the Rain" is the best new song I've heard this year - which I'm sure will be replaced once "In Your Dreams' drops.

Also, bought Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush" on vinyl last weekend.. which is, imho, his best work. The remastered vinyl is beautiful.
