The interaction can be a bit low here to , so it's best to be zen...

thanks for posting the set lists - while I have live recordings of all of the songs listed under both dates, I do not have any shows with the songs in that order -

most intriguing is the 31-03-69 set list - 'Please Find My Baby', 'Jigsaw Puzzle Blues' and 'Tallahassee Lassie' could all be considered "rarities" in that there are not many concert recordings in circulation of those songs -

of the tracks listed under 11-11-69, only 'Baby, Please Set a Date' and 'Keep a Knockin'' might be considered rare

these could well be shows that were not previously in circulation -

I look forward to hearing from those who successfully downloaded the sets

Thanks for your comments about the songs/setlists!

This version of 1969-03-31 was first time in circulation, but there is also another recorder from this show with limited(?) circulation. Edited versions of this show have sometimes been incorrectly dated as "July 1968".

1969-11-11 (early show) has been in limited(?) circulation for the last 15 years. It has had an incorrect date of "1970-04-03".

1969-11-11 (late show) is the one with "Man of the World" - thanks for that review as well. There are 1-2 audience recordings and a (lossy FLAC) FM radio version (minus Moneymaker and Jenny). This is often incorrectly dated as "1969-09-24".

Hi Arcana, first of all: welcome to the ledge.
Then, I'm very curious where you got the information as to the dates of the Helsinki shows. They have been wandering around for a long time with the "false" dates. Secondly, Dinky Dawsons tourbook reveals that there was a show on 1970-04-03 in Helsinki. How are you so sure the mentioned recording is not from that show.
No offense, just being curious enough to want to get history straight (which is rather difficult).

Cheers

Thanks.

I'm not an expert of Green's Mac as a whole but have researched their Finnish concert dates thoroughly. I don't know "Dinky Dawsons tourbook", but I know 1970-04-03 Helsinki date has also been quoted in Hjort's "Strange Brew" book. Being a Finn I have been able to research ancient newspaper and other written sources and I have found that there were no ads in the paper, no concert at the suggested venue, and no reviews for that date. I suspect a 1970 Helsinki date might have been included on some preliminary tour plan and started living a life of its own from there.

They both appeared on Sugarmegs in the last few days... The worlds best bootleg site.

1969-03-31 Kulttuuritalo, Helsinki, Finland
AND
Kulttuuritalo, Helsinki, Finland November 11th 1969 (early show)

11-11-1969 sounds good.
3-31-1969 sounds, not so good.

Is it possible to download from Sugarmegs? (I tried, but it didn't work for me...)
