I just wish that I could find an opportunity like that over the summer while I'm trying to earn money is a starving artist haha!

JTIS, I just flicked over the channel to catch the early scenes of Thir13en Ghosts. Wtf did I do this? It's the only horror movie that affects me psychologically as much as it does. I caught some of the scarier scenes so I may as well watch the full thing because I won't sleep now anyway. Eff you Jackyl and Juggernaught *shiver*.

With the blood and naked female? Yep. That's the Angry Princess, one of the thirteen. It really gets to me, this film. Yet at the same time I do like it. I just don't like going anywhere in the day afterwards. For example, I need a wee. But there is no way I'm stepping out of my room to walk through the dark hallway to go to the bathroom. Not without a magically spelled section of glass wall lol!

There are so many disturbing moments in that movie for me. Was there one ghost who did a weird thing with its teeth? Like chattering as it stood behind you? Sob.

If he had a cage over his head then that sounds like the Jackyl. He's very lascivious in his actions with his mouth. Reminds me alot of Charlie Manson, actually. I think the thing with this movie is it's such a departure from the usual slasher, "guy in a mask", killer thriller. It makes you question all those little bumps and creaks you hear in the night. And that in itself plays tricks with your mind. Unfortunately for me I have a VERY vivid imagination. So much that I can literally see the things I'm afraid of in front of me. I guess it comes with the territory of artist, but it's a horrible thing to have when you're walking down the hall and you just get that feeling of Juggernaught following you. Turn around and, yep, I can see him. Blah. I sound nuts lol. But it's something I've had my whole life. Even when I was a little kid I remember having it.

I think you have to be a tad warped to like it, lol. Probably why I keep going back to it hehe.

I have a few movies in my past that have created this kind of fear for me. Stir of Echoes is one of them. Not terribly scary in comparison to many, but the dead girl has really stuck with me over the years. I used to live in an old two story house and when I would get my coffee in the early morning (still dark out), going back upstairs to get ready was pure hell for me. I knew that if i turned around, that dead girl would be right behind me. God, I couldn't get up those stairs fast enough!

I am so glad I'm not the only one who has this. It's gotten to the point now that when I have to go downstairs in the dark, I'm terrified by the time I'm running lickety split up the stairs back to the "safety" of my bedroom. I feel like such a wimp, because I know there's nothing to worry about. But at the same time it feels so real to me that it may as well be really happening.

This is exactly why I don't let myself watch scary movies under any circumstance.
