Ahh, now there's a girl group with some real substance and absolutely unique talent! I'm still bitter about how their career was instantly ruined by an utterly idiotic mob mentality.

This infuriates me too. I've been a fan of theirs for years - Natalie's voice is fantastic. Louie - have you seen Shut Up and Sing - the documentary about the fallout of said mob mentality and the recording of the follow-up album, Taking The Long Way? It's a great, yet infuriating/disturbing film.

I was hoping that their career wouldn't have been ruined by such events, and I was really happy when the next album did so well (it's brilliant!) but they've disappeared since then so maybe it did ruin them after all.

I think more than anything it all affected Natatlie and so she has chosen to take a real back seat in the music business now. That's why Emily and Martie did their album as Court Yard Hounds, because Natalie said she wasn't ready/didn't want to return to the music buiness full time. Then there was the tour-that-never-really-was with the Eagles. Take those things together and, sadly, the Chicvks may be done. Such a shame!!

By the way - the Court Yard Hounds album is really good, especially after a few listens.

If we're counting Heart, then of course I love Ann and Nancy.

But, The Runaways! Joan Jett has taught me more than my own mother and almost as much as Debbie Harry.

The Supremes, The Shangri-Las, and The Runaways are my main 3.
