Jeez, every time somebody posts something about her being menopausal, I cringe. It doesn't make you stupid.

As I wrote in the next sentence, she might not have felt like smiling. She DID say in a recent interview that menopause sucks.
If she thinks it sucks, and it's on her mind, that might be one reason why she's not smiling.
I am not implying that menopause makes any person stupid. But if she's going to use unusually strong language to describe the experience, I'm going to conclude that she has unusually strong opinions regarding it.
