Default Stevie's Hip

I know there's been a lot of press since 1997 about how Stevie has remained so hip in the world of fashion and rock and roll -- but I'm curious what's going on with her actual hip these days?

Does anyone know -- and will we be seeing her rolling out in a wheel chair in a few years like Ella Fitzgerald?

A reviewer recently said she moved like she had lead in her heels. That's how she came across to me in '97. A far cry from the frolicking Stevie of the early 80's. (personally I'd rather have her amazing voice of today over her stage dancing of decades ago - that 2 pack-a-day voice from the late 80's was hard on us ever-lovin' fans).

Well, I don't know about her hip, but I saw her last night and she was much more animated. There were no high kicks but she did do 4 or 5 spins in a row during one song. Her vocals were powerful and intense and she hit the high notes when necessary also.

I feel as if I got the best of both worlds.

Wheelchair or no wheelchair, I'd pay to see the lady. She'd bring a grace & coolness to it onstage, that's for sure. Can't you picture the tambourines, ribbons, and beads she'd have hanging off her chair?

I hope that her hip heals, the menopause symptoms ease up, and she starts high kicking and spinning again.

She was DEFINITELY into it Tuesday night in Cleveland. Like Sean said, she was very animated. And the spinning she did (can't remember what song) was very dramatic.

I don't remember ever seeing her this energetic on the Enchanted or TISL tours.

Maybe she has arthritis in the hip. Arthritis can come and go. Some days you feel fine and others you're stiff all over and hurt. The way she moved Friday night looked like arthritis to me. "Lead in the feet" isn't a good description really-it's more like you move carefully-and that's what it looked like to me, she was moving very carefully at first. She also moved more as she warmed up which is also typical of arthritis=:-)

I love her and I just hoope this tour isn't too much for her-they haven't programmed in much rest for themselves..

Hip injuries-if that is what it is-don't go away.
whats more important than prancing around the stage is that her voice-everytime I've heard her, holds up well.

If you have a hip problem, it's not recommended you prance around on stage. She isn't young anymore and women's bones tend to suffer alot when they go through menopause. She probably just is in some pain and rather play it safe. That's fine. Everyone else can jump around for her. I just hope she's taking alot of calcium and doing helpful exercises so she can get back to herself soon!

Her voice is still amazing and her presense is as well, and that's all that matters
