I love the Summer skies here and also the storms and sky afterwards as they move out. So pretty. There are some people here with big (aloe vera looking) plants in their yards, I'm guessing it's some sort of cactus? Anyway, they're cool looking and pretty. And some neighbors have orange trees in bloom and it's so weird seeing that even though I've been down here a year. I try not to get used to it and take everything in when I'm out and about.

Austin's closer to about 4 hours from the beach. Lake Travis will get up to about 90 in the summer... so there's definitely warm water in Austin, too. But there are also tons of spring-fed swimming holes here as well. The springs generally run between 68-74 degrees, depending on which one you go to. Even if it's 105 degrees outside when you jump in one of the springs, you'll be cool for the rest of the afternoon!
