Set List:
The Chain Dreams Peacekeeper Eyes Of The World Say You Will Never Going Back Again Rhiannon Gypsy Come Running Through The Garden Big Love Landslide Say Goodbye WTWCT Destiny Rules Beautiful Child Gold Dust Woman I'm So Afraid Silver Springs Tusk Stand Back GYOW World Turning Don't Stop Goodbye Baby FM played for nearly 2 1/2 hurs. The begining was a little slow, with new songs and stuff some people don't know but by the time LB broke his guitar string during Come they were into it. Carlos Rios seemed to be having the time of his life during this song. LB thrust his arms in the air and mouthed the words "we rocked." His voice is just fine. The audio on those tv broadcasts sukced, plain and simple. This band sounds great. The high point of the show for me was Beautiful Child. Stevie's voice was high and clear and it was sung just as it was 25 years ago. Bret Tuggle played Chris's part nicely. This song will be the show stealer just as Silver Springs was in '97. LB had to help Stevie on stage and it is clear that her hip is still ailing. She wore the same dress as on Leno, augmented with a variety of shawls during the evening. She wore a beautiful pink one for Goodbye Baby,a song the audience really seemed to take to. LB broke another string during GYOW and started pawing at the guitar, for a minute I thougt he was gonna do the Jimi Hendrix. He was clearly having a blast. Mick kept the vest solo during World Turning short and sweet and augmented it with what seemed like samples of the "ah" from Big Love and the guitar part to World Turning. Mindy Stein wore a Rhiannon style top in black velvet with bat wing style sleeves. Sharona was ever the class act in a little black suit. John McVie retained his spot by Mick for the evening in his baseball cap, formidable bass and what I'm calling the "contiki shirt." If I had any doubts, they are long gone. LB's guitar came unplugged during Big Love and he didn't talk about cycles he said "Let's just pick this up in the middle." The audience happily agreed. Stevie sang Chris's part in Don't Stop augmenting the lyrics a bit. Goodbye Baby really got to the audience. She sang it high and strong. The venue and the people in this town are freindly and nice. Stevie said as she left the stage "You don't know how much tonight meant to us." I feel like it was a dream. It was a great show. The band rocked. It's gonna be a great tour. |

Awesome review and awesome concert! I am sad we did not get to meet. Can you hear and do you have a voice left?? LOL
It was such a magical night and Lindsey was right! They rocked the house down..my ears are still ringing...plus you could see Stevie holding her ears at times when the crowd was screaming..I can only imagine how loud it was on the stage as it was overwhelming from the seats! WOOHOO.. Tamara ![]() p.s. hope you got back to your hotel ok...how do you like Columbus? ![]()

Breaking guitar strings left, right and centre it seems. Nice to hear he's really going for it on the guitar. It's about time.

Thank you for another great review!
I do agree, it would have been great to hear "Everybody Finds Out" AND "Fall From Grace." Stevie needs some serious confidence building to back away from the standards; but hey, at least she's doing SOME new ones, and that's terrific. I'm sorry to read Stevie's having pain. Maybe that explains some of the "professional" reviewers comments, about her being subdued. Stevie, lose the boots. Whatever it takes to be comfortable up there! I guess she's going to wear them at least as they are taping that VH1 show. Thank you for taking the time to put something up! Thank you for the info about Carlos and Brett as well. I can almost imagine "Goodbye Baby" as a closer now. There's a few lines in there that might translate to the audience, not unlike "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You,": Don't forget me . . . You were with me all the time . . . I'll be with you one day. It's got that same sort of quiet/goodbye feeling that Songbird has, as well. It's been great reading the reviews! While I'll certainly miss seeing Christine there, it definitely looks like the band has pulled themselves into a fine sounding band. |

Just got back to Denver. I really enjoyed Columbus. It was a great show. I was in the 11th row and snapped a whole roll of film while the security guy basically looked the other way. I will post the best ones as soon as I can. I didn't holler too much, fortunately the lady next to me was taping the show! We're trading pics for tape, so I can't wait for that. I am a little deaf now, though. Hey, if you get out my way here, let me know. I had a blast! |
