Barnes & Noble has Uncut and Performing Songwriter mags in stock

I am pleased to have this be my 700th post!

I've been calling them for weeks and they are holding me a copy of each mag. Yay! Reading material for my flight to DC tomorrow...

And file this under the "what's the stupidest thing...." thread: When I asked the sales girl who was on the cover of Performing Songwriter, she said, "Uuuuuh, some man and some woman." LOL

I bought the UNCUT and I was very excited...great stuff But I got it at Barnes and Noble Sunday and there were tons of copies.

I ordered Performing Songwriter online, who knows when i'll get it. I just had to have a magazine with the BOTH of them alone on the cover. That's a first!! But I didn't see that at B&N

I got Uncut Saturday at Borders. I still can't find the Performing Songwriter anywhere either. I think I will call B&N to see if they have the PS with B&N on the cover.

I had something similar happen to me. I called another Borders back when the Rumours audio DVD came out. I had the clerk read the package to me so I knew that they did not get it confused with the Making of Rumours DVD.
Well, he reads the info and tell me that there is "some lady in a black dress" on the cover with "a guy with a pony tail". I was like the lady is STEVIE NICKS. He was like "oh". I still don't think that he had a clue.

On another note. I was in another Borders in RI and 2 boys around their early 20s were looking at music magazines. One says oh yeah Joni Mitchell is cool. Then he says oh my favorite female rocker is Stevie Nicks, and then they went on to say how "hot" they thought she was.
