There was even a rumour that they were an item in the late 1970s and that the blonde woman that he is covering the eyes of with his hand on the cover of his "Blondes Have More Fun" album was Stevie ..it was really his soon to be new wife Alanna Hamilton.

Rod pulls in more $ on his tours than Stevie does solo. Plus, she has said over the years how much she enjoys his music. From a promotional POV, this is a very strong pairing if it comes to be.

I know a lot of people want Dave to tour with Stevie,But when did this ever become Official that they would tour together...Seems to me that this has just been wishful thinking on every one's part...
Dave has been asked repeatedly about touring with Stevie,and will not give an answer...If he does it's one of his vague,well that's up to Stevie her management and Warner bros answers...

Well, even if Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tour together, Dave Stewart could be in Stevie's band, perhaps even as 'musical director', or as a bandmember. It is likely Dave who best knows the new material he produced for SN, so for the 3, 4, or however many new songs she plans on having in her set, it would make sense for him to be in the band.
If not as her musical director, should that go to Waddy, Dave Stewart could still be on board.
Eons ago, she had Michael E, then quite young, as her musical director for a tour, so you never know-she could do the same with Dave Stewart, even if she tours with Rod Stewart. Stevie may be touring with two Stewarts!
Or, add Sandy Stewart on backup vocals, and it could be three Stewarts with her! Or no Stewarts!

Well as of right now, I'm planning on 3 or 4 for Stevie's tour and probably 10-15 for Lindsey give or take a few.

That's not entirely true... Back in August when Dave was watching Stevie's rehearsals for her August shows, and when it was coming to the surface that his album was going to be coming out roughly the same time as hers, he was asked about the possibility of a tour together with Stevie and he responded with "it's very likely". So he has answered, even thou it's not a confirmation of it happening, he did acknowledge the idea.

I feel like a LOT of people here are jumping to a LOT of conclusions prematurely, and making some pretty outlandish statements as a result.

What has been confirmed? That Rod and Stevie will be on Ellen (and even that hasn't been *confirmed* officially, per se).

What has, at this point, been nothing but pure speculation?
-That Rod & Stevie are touring together - Since when did we accept "I heard from a friend" statements as being 100% true? I seem to recall that type of "news" to be the first dismissed around here.
-That if there is a tour, that Stevie would be an opener.

Calm down, people. Let's hold off on the "picketing the concerts" and bombarding the NicksFix with our concern for now.
