I agree i'm bummed if it takes longer for the new album to be released but at least someone is saying it sounds good right?

Exactly. And everyone who has made these glowing comments about Stevie's new album being 'the best of her career' have all been in Stevie's presence when they've reported that. Definitely makes me take these proclamations with a grain of salt. Bella Donna had no turds like Everybody Loves You after all!

She herself said something along the lines of it being her best didn't she? Sometimes I really question her tastes, which is why her, Christine, and Lindsey always did a phenomenal job of balancing each other out. At least we can look at it like it can't get much worse than Street Angel, and I actually like that album.

Louie, Danny Z. isn't an empty Live Nation suit. He and his company (going back to the Evening Star days) have been promoting Stevie/Fleetwood Mac for over 30 years. If he didn't like what he heard, he either wouldn't have said anything or would have made a generic compliment.

To that point, here's a followup post (4 hours ago, no longer in Stevie's presence) from him-

"all 14 songs were wonderful, rocking, perfect and poignant, not overproduced but no detail left undone...I cant wait to hear it again and again, which wont be for awhile. I think this bodes well for 2011, where music will regain the focus over all of the business surrounding the industry. This is what i call a career masterpiece."

^^Well, if nothing else, it confirms that we will have at least an hours worth of new Stevie music. I don't know this guy or his intentions, but I agree that if he didn't have anything nice to say, he wouldn't have said anything. Also, if he was really blowing smoke up everyone's arses, and if the album was a total disaster after all, his credibility would be called into question; he would never hear the end of it. And being just a little bit outside of Stevie's circle of minions and sychophants, there is no reason not to believe him.

All this being said, I think it's strange that this album is finished, finis, finito, kaput, in the can, done, fork-stuck-in-it, yet it doesn't have a title or a release date. And we'd better start seeing tweets from Dave from the set of the first video soon! After all, it's going to take weeks for them to retouch the video the way they retouched Brad Pitt in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."

We do know how Stevie loves her reshot close-ups and re-dubbed vocals for "live" performances!

The whole lack of title or release date has concerned me, too. I'm thinking Warner is probably scratching their heads saying 'what do we do with HER this day and age?' But who knows, it's entirely possible she's using this album to shop new record deals. Which would explain a lack of a release date, and she'd more than likely let a record company have a say in naming the album too (she seems to like to give those around her choice bits of power/control... I suppose so they feel invested in her). Truthfully, I can't see Stevie straying from Warner, though. She's built her entire career with them, and I'm guessing she feels obliged/indebted to them.

In any event, thanks for sharing that info, Luke. I'm still pretty wary of this project for whatever reason, but I'm trying to realistically hope for the best at the same time. I guess we'll just have to WAIT ()and see what Stevie hath wrought. Hopefully we'll get that chance next year... but with this woman, you just never know!

i reallllllly hope Stevie gets a Makeover for the new album. Not like a Cher or Madonna makeover, but maybe a new haircut and gets a gay man to go through her wardrobe and tell her "No" to a few things. I am getting a little tired of the stagnant 1997 Stevie she has stuck with.

Well I just felt the need to throw a little GRATITUDE into the mix. Yeah, it's somewhat disappointing that this isn't coming out in March but realistically, I never thought it was going to be released in March in the first place. Is it a bummer I'm gonna have to wait a few more months? Yeah, it is. But I've waited over 10 years for new Stevie music so a few more months isn't going to kill me. Because I know that at some point, very soon, I am going to be holding a new Stevie Nicks CD in my hands. This is a hell of a lot more than I had for the past 9 plus years. So I'm really grateful that Stevie has recorded another solo CD. I didn't think this was ever going to happen. So I cherish this knowledge and wait. And whenever it ends up coming out - April, May, June or God knows when, I'm gonna have that moment when it's just me and that new Stevie Nicks CD in my hand. And it's gonna be awesome.
