No, they are still 'relatively' new technology.... that's why Stevie had so much trouble with them on TISL... not as someone posted "she didn't know what she was doing with it"...geez i guess now she's supposed to be a sound tech too!
my best friend uses with one in her band since about 96, took awhile to get used to, but she loves it. someone else can explain, if you want, what the old fashioned alternative to an in-ear is...
