yway, you soon forget whatever was said, no matter how antagonistic it was.

This. I have read on countless occasions where people have flat-out called LB an "asshole" as if they knew him. I don't think I've read anything nearly as harsh about Stevie, even when she goes on those magazine interview tours where she brings him up and slams him for whatever mean thing he did to her in the 1970s, 1980s, in the studio, the SYW tour, the hallway, etc. I get truly annoyed with her then-where she goes on about things that I personally feel could be left more private. Not because they're irrelevant or boring but because it would be a much classier thing to do.

But I don't really bash Stevie over it. She has her flaws but she's still completely herself. She will always be someone who goes on interviews and says whatever and I've come to expect it and even warmed to it. Lindsey is far, far more private and has some kind of mental mnemonic device to never forget to say the exact same thing in any interview he gives. Even to the sentence structure. That's annoying as well but, for the most part, I find the fact that he doesn't talk smack or slam as often as the others quite endearing...probably because it all had to be well thought out as only he does best.

Is that some sort of willingness to admit, that they're all has-beens, on your part?

And no, I was referring to the one with the dented teat, not the one with the deflated teats!

I think MANY artists can be assholes. They're used to having their way with most everything, and they just become assholes, over time.

That said, I know a woman, who provided "back stage hospitality", for a Stevie show in AZ, years back, and she said that Stevie was IMPOSSIBLE. That nothing they provided her and her band, was good enough, and she complained about everything. She said that she thought Stevie was a complete bit*h.

Thread is not a Ledgie grudge match. Just Lindsey, Stevie, Christine and, um, Dave Walker.

What happened to our fall get together?

See, ruining your evening, is what I mean, about some fans, not being realistic about their expectations, with their heroes. They're just as real(or not), as your neighbor, or co-worker....some are nice as pie, and some are assholes. Some can be both, at different times.

And I've told you that AZ story before, my friend.

I guess I've been "in the business", too long, and met too many bitter stars. Color me jaded, perhaps. I love life, and my fellow man, but have come to realize that these "stars", can be just as jerky as anyone. Putting them on a pedestal, is a mistake. Because you'll most likely be let down.

Sleep well, my favorite 'tuckian friend!

I knew a guy who worked her TISL tour and he had nothing but great things to say about her. I completely agree with you about putting anyone on a pedestal though...particulary a celebrity!

i've been talking to maria about and early winter wonderland get together. i'm trying everything i can to pay my car off, and at the very latest it will be december 27th. so i've been putting all my money into that.

i don't recall.

the thing of it is, she's NOT my neighbor or co-worker and i don't have to deal with her every day. i'd like to continue to live in a nice little fantasy world bubble where stevie is as nice as she appears to the public. as far as her sprinkling fairy dust glitter out of her bum, i think it's funny so i go along with it. but honestly, my mind won't even allow me to visualize stevie #2ing or any other natural daily (or every other day, depending on your fiber intake )routine, but it's not just stevie-it's all the members of the mac. just because you're jaded you don't have to ruin it for the rest of us fine people

PS-any chance you'll go to NOTS, even if it's just for the afterparty? i'm going and i'm dragging maria along even if i have to drug her.

Stevie's music always has, and always will, outsell Lindsey's.
That said, I'm looking forward to both (but I'd listen to Stevie's first, just because I think there are going to be more surprises on it. I have a bad feeling that Lindsey's is just going to be more of the same).

But what IS "the same" when it comes to Lindsey?

I don't know my work schedule yet, but my band only has the first weekend booked. I have lighting booked on the 2nd weekend, and I'm looking at either 17/18, or 31/1, as a Nashvegas getaway. I've never had a New Years Eve off, in my entire adult life, so I'm probably leaning towards that one, for Nashville. But I'd pick the other one, if it meant we could all get together.

Stevie goes #2??? And wipes it with her granny hands!? Say it ain't so!!!

WHERE is NOTS? I'll probably have to enforce my "two hour concert limit"(I won't drive more than two hours to see ANYbody, unless I plan an entire vacation around it). I think I might prefer NOTB(bullets)!

If it's "more of the same" as in "more Gift Of Screws", it's more bloody fantastic music according to most Ledgies, in my experience
