tilthefirefades - have you ever heard the Krikor Edit of "Goodbye Horses"? It's REALLY good, and another one of those songs where when I hear it, I can't NOT get up and dance around. Except instead of spazzy wombat, I'm all "Oh!" (link NSFW)

No I haven't! I can't find it on youtube, can you supply me with this awesome dance-invoking version?

I know in an earlier post I mentioned these 2 songs, but really for me, Vincent and Castles In The Air by Don McLean are 2 of the greatest pieces of rock and roll poetry that I have ever heard. I am not a fan of American Pie at all, but the other 2 I can literally listen to 1000 times in a row and NEVER get tired of hearing Don's singing!

Yeah, I'm not too hip with the version on the first Little Feat album, but the version they did on Sailin' Shoes is the version Linda pretty much copied verbatim.

The total amount of crazy happening in that video has always charmed me to no end. Song is great, too.

I love Tori Amos' cover of it - have you heard it? She has such an amazing way with cover songs:

Ok I know I'm going to sound like a complete fossil when I admit this, but I also love some 50's ans 60's stuff too. my favorite song from that era that I remember my mother playing for me when I was a a 4 year old was:

Denise: Randy & The Rainbows

Oh, Denis ooh be doo I'm in love with you, Denise ooh be doo The original is so so cute, it annoys me that the Blondie boys laughed at Debbie for wanting to cover it.

I can't express how many times I missed off the E in Denise
