Reading Lori's facebook she said that she's in L.A. recording for the next 2-3 months...So I'm guessing that its with Stevie.

Knowing Stevie it is probably June 2011.

So if I understand correctly:
- they definitely recorded a duet for his album (maybe Everybody Loves You was intended for his album and not Stevie's?)
- he's is possibly still working with Stevie and producing her solo album (I believe it when I hear it from Stevie's mouth)
Sanne2, my understanding of Dave's comments is that he was (and perhaps still is) intending to make an album in collaboration with others ("I have been doing duets with different artists... And I’ve also just done a duet with Stevie Nicks") which the interviewer referred to as being an "album with a bunch of super famous friends".

However, I think what Dave is attempting to say, in his usual vague and round-about way, is that he is working with an array of artists and that whatever comes of these collaborations is not yet certain. For example, the "songs (Dave is) writing or co-writing with other people" could be for other projects and that "at the same time (he is) always recording little sessions of songs myself, building up to having enough for a solo thing", for himself. He seems to be drawing a distinction between at least some of the collaborations and the songs he is writing on his own which would indicate that not all the "duets" will be for his album. We already know that he has stated that he is producing an album for Stevie so we know that this is yet another (separate) project for him. Dave himself seems a little confused about how all these various collaborations/projects will come together when he states "... it’s all getting a bit busy".

With regard to the duet Dave and Stevie have recorded (most likely "Everybody Loves You"), I think this may have started out as a possible inclusion for his solo duets project but now might end up on Stevie's solo album and perhaps was the impetus for them continuing to work together on a whole album (of Stevie's). Regardless of whether he keeps this track for his own album or not, Stevie's solo album is definitely progressing with him at the helm.

Dave's voice was on that song, but it hardly sounded like a duet. I bet it goes on Stevie's album. If you listen to lyrics, it's a song about her life, not his. I take that both artists really like the song, and I agree that it probably caused them to work together more.

I also read around the time Stevie was recording that Joss Stone was recording with Dave. Dave must be recording the duet album with Joss and others (maybe Stevie). I don't think that Lori would record with Dave and Stevie - so she must be coming for a Solo recording with Stevie.

When did she actually write that. Because according to Dave, the thing should be done in June.

Who's she? Nowhere has either Dave or Stevie or anyone else said anything was coming out in June. That bit of information was courtesy of some overactive imaginations on The Ledge.

I seem to recall that it came from a credible "inside" source related to Liz Rosenberg. This is probably the same source that claimed that a new Mac album was already half in the can.

The only thing that Dave said about June is that he and Stevie will continue recording the album, and hopefully finish it by then. Obviously, that does not mean the album will be released in June, but by then it will be able to go into post-production.

Here is the mention about June in relation to Stevie's album. He mentioned it on a BBC radio show during an interview, and here is the summary of the conversation by someone at a Eurythmics fan site:

"Dave also spoke about working with Stevie Nicks, that 6 tracks are recorded so far and they will try and complete the album in the Summer, and that he is hoping to play live with a “bunch of reprobates”"

http://eurythmics.me.uk/?p=12219

The write-up says in the summer, but in the actual interview, if i remember correctly, he said June would be when they continue with their sessions.

Could this be the same person who loves to attack me whenever I have the temerity to offer a reasoned, factually based alternative perspective that dares to differ from their habitual pattern of plucking BS from thin air? The person who has historically & prolifically proffered so much stupid **** and in such condescending obnoxious fashion (and with rich unintentional comedy implications) that the window of being excusable, understandable, or "eh, lets give them a pass on this one, I feel bad for them" doesn't apply, as they are- how do we say- bat**** crazy?

Yep, that'd be them!

Oh- an album's not coming out in June, folks. And the casino dates aren't kicking off a tour for said mythical album.

There is no way that it could. Even when said rumor was announced in April, there was no possibility that the album could be ready by then. August would be the absolute earliest that we would see anything.

Stevie is being very quiet about all of this; even on her off time she does interviews, so obviously she's keeping quiet for a reason.

Default So relieved!

I had to do a search to see who Hejira and LukeA were speaking of. Big sigh of relief. "I never said Fleetwood Mac had a new cd half-recorded, LukeA didn't mean me, did he?'--biting a xanax in half "I never wrote Stevie would have the cd released in June, did I?" No, maybe I'd hoped, publically, that the recording would be completed in June for an August/September release.
I sort of wondered if Luke using 'prolific' could be a kind way of saying 'Kol sure needs an editor' (agreed) and I saw 'crazy' and thought 'ut-oh' !!
And I have mentioned Liz Rosenberg recently (mainly, to point out that Liz Smith had an exclusive this year on wow.com that Liz R actually had been ousted from Warner Brothers but was allowed to say it was her decision to open her own p.r. firm- Not the case, she was dumped.)
After about 15 minutes, I found the Ledgie author whom Hejira and LukeA were referring to and paranoid me was relieved, or the xanax kicked in. I do try to make my humor intentional, when I use it. I can be funny as hell, damn it.
Completely serious, here, I think LukeA is incredibly brilliant, and okay, I hang on every word when I see he has contributed, because I know 'informed' when I read it. I've never read Luke not to be able to back up what others objected to, by providing balanced information of the concert industry, that he's proven to have first-hand knowledge of, and sources for his information. I disagreed once with Luke about something trivial, in a Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac forum, on the merits of Linda Ronstadt's "rock years", but I saw his points and thought maybe that I'd expressed mine, rationally, if too-wordily. Then, I wondered why I even bothered, on The Ledge!
I've also liked Hejira's writing, and his killer photographs, his travelogue of sorts (wrong word?) during the European 'Unleashed' tour with his stellar photographs were awesome. He and I had a recent 'disagreement' over something minor- a tourbook, and actually, I was wrong to be so persistent. The dude (Hejira) doesn't live in the Netherlands, so really only people in The Netherlands could answer the question I was asking. Hejira had once reported of an 'All Access' a fan-package that included a would-be Unleashed tourbook and was kind enough to share the information he had gotten from All Access, but he didn't buy the package, and doesn't live in Europe, the only place the would-be Unleashed tourbook was being mailed to, not to the United States, which he had specified, and I 'missed'.
So, my apology to Hejira. I was wrong to be so stubborn.

But this time: It wasn't me, it wasn't me.* Go to sleep, self!

*This time!
P.S. I just spilled half of a half-gallon of milk on the floor. I thought I had the top on tight. I thought I reached the top shelf when I put the milk bottle in the fridge. Bright side- still plenty of milk for the morning coffee. Afternoon coffee. Whatever.
'Chit Chat' topic- I remember Westlake Village, signs all over the place. Why is Heather Locklear being prosecuted for hitting a sign and not reporting it? Why can't she just pay to have the sign put back up? "Hello, 911, I hit a sign" sheesh--- it's not like it was a person! This was caught on a security camera of sorts? Here, in CT, security cameras at red lights in New Haven were voted as being an invasion of privacy. She did 'Dynasty' and 'TJ Hooker' at the same time! Let her knock over a sign, b*tches! I don't like 40-something blondes to be arrested...makes me nervous.
