I pick most except Diana Ross,The reason why i did not check her name because what she did to her co-members of the supremes.but I do like her music .ONJ I do love her music,If Stevie went to a another direction in her career, like a school teaching,Olivia Newton-John would be on top.Linda Ronstadt will follow Olivia. Also I like Donna Summer,I was to hang on in Atlantic City until sunday after Stevies show,Donna is scheduled for saturday night in AC ,but Stevies Foxwoods show ended that Idea .

I voted for Karen, but I just realized we could vote for more than one

So I would have also voted for Dolly and Donna

I love powerful voices, so....

1) Linda Ronstadt. For me, Linda was right up there with Stevie as the voice of west coast chick-rock.

2) Barbra Streisand. Kind of surprised to find myself picking Babs, she had tons of (mostly forgettable) mainstream pop/easy listening/movie tunes, but still, one of the purest, most powerful voices EVER. When she made the movie 'Yentl,' there was a scene where her beloved father had just died and she's singing a song for him -- I cried my eyes out in the theater, and it's still one of the most powerfully beautiful things I've ever heard (and I still get teary).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwCPAo5e_F8

Such a voice, so much emotion.

(You can see why I'm not impressed with today's over-costumed and under-talented little girls. I remember when our chick singers had voices!)

PS: Honorable mention for Aretha Franklin; remember her string of hits and her great voice? How bout some RESPECT!

And what about JANIS!!!!!!! -- you can thank Southern Comfort and Marlboros for that great voice.

EDIT: Okay, Aretha and Janis are really 60's, and this poll is 70's. I guess I got carried away with old memories......

Cher! I love Cher. She's so...Cher!

I miss my Cher Barbie. Someone ran off with it. I need a new one. I never got a chance to take it out to dinner with me.

I absolutely prefer Carly Simon - totally adore her.

Besides, she wrote a song about me once. Except nobody believes me, they all say it had to be about somebody else like Warren Beatty or Mick Jagger or someone.

For me personally, it's more like this:

Olivia Newton-John: I worship the ground she walks on. She once glanced at a pebble and people should build a SHRINE to it!!!!

Carly Simon: I'm currently camped outside her driveway. There's three REALLY big mean looking guys coming through the gate right now, glaring at me; and I hear sirens in the distance. So I had no choice but to vote f- WHOOPS, GOTTA GO!!!

Yay, y'all!

Cher is just fabulous. Like...weapons-grade fabulous. Such a great sense of humor, love her music, and the CLOTHES. My gawd, the CLOTHES.

I had the Cher Barbie in the "Turn Back Time" video outfit.
