I know Stevie loves doing cover songs, you think since she is working with Dave Stewart that they will do "Don't Come Around Here No More"?

Thanks for the update! While I think Mike Campbell is utterly brilliant (just see the Heartbreakers in concert folks if y'all haven't! ), I was really liking the fact Stevie was working outside of her normal circles. Oh well... perhaps Mike will bring some rock into the equation... I'm totally not digging the Adult Contemporary vibe of the snippet Dave leaked us.

Outside normal circles? Mike Campbell has played on lots of her solo albums. I for one am thrilled because he usually contributes to her more "rock and roll" tracks!!!

That's what I was saying... by working with Dave and his crew, she was working outside of her normal circles. Mike is in her inner circle of musician friends... thus my lamenting it. But deciding after all it's not a bad thing, because he'll bring some much needed rock into the equation!!

Ugh... doesn't Mike Campbell have to be somewhere else? Rehearsing for the upcoming Heartbreakers tour maybe? I. cannot. stand. Mike. Campbell. I seriously cannot think of any song co-written by Mike Campbell that I love- he is absolutely the worst collaborator with Stevie. Remember, he is partially responsible for such dubious gems like "Fire Burning," "Greta," "Freedom," "Whole Lotta Trouble," and the piece de resistance "Desert Angel," . With a track record like that, you know there is no reason to believe they are up to anything good if he is around. Mike, stay the eff away! Please!!!

That is good news. I'm hoping for an album with completely new material.

Except for "Freedom", those are some of my favorite Stevie songs.

I know right.

She should just scrap this whole project and put out a greatest hits LP. Its almost been three years since we got a new version of Landslide!!!

IMO, I believe someone else is more deserving of that title. This is EXACTLY how I feel about Rick Nowels. He should stick with Madonna and the other superficial dance-music bimbos.

But I love Mike Campbell's songs with Stevie. I love all the songs you mention, except Fire Burning. About "Whole Lotta Trouble", Stevie wrote the riff. All Mike did was to force her not to rewrite the riff and use the original one she came up with, and he wrote the music for the bridge. The rest was Stevie. This was not a song like the others where she wrote the words and melody over one of his instrumental tracks.

Am I the only person who really likes Desert Angel!?

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

When I go to hell, "Whole Lotta Trouble" and "Desert Angel" will be played on an endless loop for all of eternity.

I actually LOVE Freedom, Desert Angel, and Greta! Guess I like the underdogs... or just plain dogs.

However, Fire Burning is undoubtedly playing in my version of Hell right now!
