Thanks for sharing that picture! Dave Stewart hasn't changed a bit since the '80s! You just have to wonder (or, at least *I* do) if he and Stevie are boinking. Yes, I know he's married... but when has that ever stopped any red blooded male??

I never put it together that the white piano we've seen Stevie in pictures with was her Bosendorfer! I can't say I've ever seen a white one! I was in an antiques shop just the other day where they had a Bosendorfer baby grand (not in the best of condition, either) for $25,000. If only I had the pocket change!

YES, And the married part has never stopped Stevie either LOL! So Yea, this totally entered my mind, but I refrained until now to speculate on it. It's not outside the realm of possibilities, I mean they did hook up in 1984 (marching powder galore). But I also considered the PLUS sides to it. Not only was I pleased to hear that Stevie was working specifically w/ Dave Stewart, I also loved the fact that she was working with a male collaborator. Because I believe Stevie thrives creatively when there is sexual tension/drama (no disrespect intended).

This has proved to play out again and again throughout her career. In FM there was Lindsey, Mick, & Don H. for starters. With Bella Donna you had the Jimmy Iovine love affair drama, On RAL the Joe Walsh dysfunction, OSOTM had the Rupert Hine mystery (who was also married). Look at the time when there was no creative trysts.....She hated Glyn Johns, and hence we got Street Angel, (which I enjoy) but Stevie hated , and it arguably does lack the passion of her previous releases.

WHAT? How did I not know this until now? I'm surprised she's as blatant as she is about their affair, then.

He was "seperated" from his wife, I don't think Stevie considered it an affair.

I'm just trying to stay realistically hopeful here regarding another album.
I thought she had changed her tune re: leaked demos. I know she was pissed off at first (where was it I saw a handwritten note from her that said "I am very, very upset that someone has come into my life and STOLEN my songs~"?), and was not too happy about being asked about Goldfish and the Ladybug on Storytellers (can't blame her - I mean, that song. Srsly?). But then she said something like, "It's okay, I know you guys have them, I'm not mad!" at one of the Enchanted shows.

Maybe she wouldn't mind too much.

Does anyone have audio of this???? And I've seen storytellers, but I don't remember anyone asking about Goldfish and the Ladybug, anyone have video/audio of that too??

She's simply mad at the person who stole her demos... not mad at the people who listen to them after the fact. That's my point about Dave Stewart... if he leaked this without her ok, she'd be PISSED at him... but not us for listening to it.

I hope that's not the case because if so I'd feel terrible for Dave b/c you know she'd get angry...real f****ing angry if you f***ed with her demos .

I believe Rooms on Fire is about her and Rupert, isn't it?

I also heard that that there was a debacle near the end of making TOSOTM album, when someone brought cocaine into the studio.

Here's Stevie, Rupert and Rick Nowles in '89. Note the bag of dope on the table.

And here's Brett Tuggle on the white piano:

Thank you for sharing those... I'd never seen them! Nice putting faces to names, too. Poor Stevie musta done her face by herself... that's some crazy paint she's got going on there!

So, she only gets mad at us for stealing the commercially released stuff?

I think Rupert had a crazy wife in the attic and Stevie found out during a fire, hence Rooms on Fire.

Well, we know she's highly against that. But if she tells people she's not mad at them for hearing her stolen demos, I have to believe it. It's not like a majority of them were ever recorded and commercially released... so she didn't really lose anything by them being out there in the world. I'm sure she'd prefer her songs to be heard in a finished fashion... but since this past decade she has released demos and early takes on CD remasters and such, I doubt it's that big of a deal to her anymore. I'd have to think she realizes her fans having access to those demos just heightens her allure.

Love seeing the bag of pot on table! I don't know much about Rupert. I wonder what the reason was for Stevie saying she can never see him again. Could it be drugs? Cocaine perhaps? At this point in time Stevie had just kicked her cocaine habit. Maybe Rupert (and his habits?) were too much of a "great tempation." Just a speculation.
