Do You Think Stevie Should Say Something About Grammy Performance??

I know Stevie was good during her performance at Grammys and poor Taylor had problems ;but I think Stevie should say something to allay all the bad press. Stevie has been open about alot of things and could be a good MAMA and help Taylor out. Also was Stevie on red carpet or was she just behind the scenes ?

No, I don't think Stevie owes anyone anything on this. The Grammies were so last week. The Oscars and the Superbowl are next on the agenda. Do you recall much about last year's Grammy winners? I don't. The less gasoline on it the better.

I agree. Stevie is not going to say anything negative, if she says anything at all.

ha inside edition just talked about Taylor Swift today and then showed the statement that her label put out. I loved how they said the Legendary Stevie Nicks when talking about it.

I definitely don't think Stevie should say anything. I mentioned in the other thread today that I figured that, because the backlash is so intense, she may have been pressured by higher-ups to do so, but there really is no reason to. The facts are: Taylor sucked. What you hear on her album and her real ability are too very different things. Period. There is nothing Stevie can say that's going to change that.

Isn't it crazy that it seems like everyone is referring to her as "legendary"?? I've always considered her a legend, and I know most of us do, but we are all biased. It's good to know the rest of the world realizes it too.

i think stevie singing " she wears short skirts i wear tee shirts...she wears high heels i wear sneekers...." was an embarrasment... SHE IS GOING TO BE 62 YEARS OLD!! i literally turned away...this is a rediculous bubble gum song..it would have made more sense to have her sing w/Pink than a 17 yr. old kid...i dont kno WHO her advisor is but they should be fired..both performances were a joke...she does the weirest things sometimes that make absolutely no career sense at all...someone must think that singing with taylor swift would open up a new audience for her...it is not gonna happen...i hope she hurries up and makes a wise career move such as a NEW album w/NEW material OR write that god**** book she been talking about for 10 years or she is going to just fade away...stars usually change paths when they are on top...stevie is slowly falling and it is starting to get sad

Whatever she chooses to do with her career is up to her. Agonizing over it is a total waste of time.

Personally, i thought it was pretty cool that Stevie was in the middle of "controversy" without having done anything wrong. Everybody wanted Stevie to do something interesting, and she did, even if it made no sense.

I think she'll probably tactfully stay out of the debate (just like she tactfully kept in the background for the Grammy performance... after all, it was Taylor's night). She might address it during an interview in the future if asked specifically... but only after everything has cooled off. With the exception of Lindsey Lohan, Stevie doesn't do her laundry in public, doesn't openly criticize other artists, and generally tries to stay positive.

I have to disagree considering this is more press coverage than Stevie has gotten in a long time. Yes, the performance was silly, but it seems to be turning out well in the sense that it has reminded the public about Stevie's music and talent and generating good buzz for her as an artist. I really hope it motivates her and her label, managers, etc. to work on a new project as you said, but as far as being an embarrassment, I think only Taylor Swift should be red-in-the-face for this one.

That's what really saved her, I think. She's really good at graciously sharing a stage, and made her shine even brighter next to Taylor on Sunday.

Oh, I think people need to get over this. Yeah, it was all kinda lame, but in this day and age, any publicity is better than no publicity at all. Good or bad, how many other times in your lifeare you going to be in the spotlight and be seen by a billion people around the world? People are buzzing, Taylor is getting hit hard, but fortunately Stevie is not getting too damaged by the schrapnel. If nothing else, people can see that Stevie is still around, still rocking and now they can really appreciate a legendary artist with gravitas vs. a dubiously talented ingenue. I think that the more is written/spoken about the Grammys, the more younger people will be inclined to sate their curiosity about this older legend singing an ode to Rhianna. From their laptops and iPhones they will discover someone who is/was definitely the coolest chick in the room.
