What Medical Surgeries and Procedures Have You Had?

Bladder surgery when I was 6.

Two years ago - microdiscectomy on L5-S1...when neurosurgeon opend the area, found complications and surgery took 4 hours instead of 1. Ruptured disc material had fused to the spinal cord and scar tissue had already started forming. Neurosurgeon had to carefully remove the tissue and disc material from the cord (extremely delicate surgery at that point because of paralysis risk). I'm ok now but prob will never have full back flexibility.

6 Surgeries

2- Right eye- detached retna
2- C Section
1- Right ankle- 1 plate, 8 screws, 2 pins
1- Right hand- Carpal Tunnel

In 2 weeks I will be adding number 7- and in a cast for 6 weeks
Left foot- need screws to fuse bone on forefoot

I had a toenail removed when I was 13 ... how rock n roll am I?
Definitely not complaining though!

I had my ears pinned back when I was about 3 then my appendix out when I was 9 or 10

broke my nose in high school playing basketball and they did some kind of surgery on it... it's never been the same since

I've had 2 lumpectomy's. One when I was 16, one at 23. Both in my left breast. This past October, I had a tubal ligation, and uterine ablation.

Pretty boring stuff, but I was excited to get the ablation.

The only surgery I have had was a tubal ligation 7 and a half years ago. My son has had three open heart surgeries. He was born with the main arteries to his heart transposed and with a single ventricle.
