I had bank fraud done on my checking account

I've never anything like this happen to me (knock wood), but one of my sisters has had it happen to her twice. Once someone used her debit card number (an employee where she had her hair done) & recently someone stole her credit card number. She just happened to check her balance on-line & saw some charges from NY, $100 here, $200 there. She called the bank who issued her card & immediately had her card closed. She's only responsible for the first $50. Now my dad has been scared of this type of thing for years & he got rid of ALL his credit cards. He uses Paypal for everything on-line. I still use my credit card which he thinks is a dangerous thing. Of course, if it ever happens to me, I'll never tell him.
