Yeah , that's why it was left out of the book. Denial with a capital D.

To all the SnL romantics: I got love for your musings. Even if I'm too pragmatic sometimes, I've often admitted when I sensed the "love" between them. I've even admitted to seeing some these days, when he's purportedly happily married and she's doing her own thing. But in this circumstance, I think Stevie was just being a good person. If a little old man was about to fall over I think she would have done the same, and obviously no romance would be involved.

I don't think anyone seriously sees any "romance" in this particular episode...however you gotta admit the way she took off running after him was semi-adorable, since it was Lindsey, her man of (*muffled*) years... and not just some other little old man...

True. That was cute, but I think Lindsey's terrible onstage situation, which only grew worse backstage and apparently in the cab on the way home, is just incredibly unfortunate and hilarious that I suppose nothing remotely shipper-ish entered my mind. Now I see where you all are getting at.

According to CAH. So, we don't really know what happened... although judging from the way his legs were going in the total opposite direction of his body...ok, that just makes me laugh thinking about it...then she may have remembered the rest of the incident fairly accurately...

Oh, and I'm gonna throw this out there too just because I'm feeling fairly brave. The Grammy's on the end of this video (I think from the year before?) anyway you can hear Stevie as she hugs Lindsey say, "I love you!"... for what it's worth, there it is! I don't make this stuff up, I just report it - in all it's shipperish glory...

Ooohh, I'm going to watch it! Yeah, you are spot-on re: CAH, however I'm apt to believe her here considering she name-checked Dick Clark. I doubt he would be able to refute as he's quite old and sick, but still LB looked like he was going to be sick when he was on stage so...lol!
