Early nineties rap-music. The likes of old-school Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Public Enemy etc.

You think I'm joking.

I've had that look many times.

I also like Spandau Ballet. I saw them live a few weeks back and they were absolutely brilliant!

I had a conversation like that with a friend a few weeks ago. It took awhile for said friend to actually understand that YES Stevie is "the girl" and YES Lindsey is "the bloke".

ALSO:

Vixen
Linda Ronstadt (from Stone Poneys up to her first "Canciones" album)
Alan Parsons Project
And, what the hell is wrong with Al Stewart?? He was GREAT! Year Of The Cat was by far his WORST album, yet it sold the most...hmmmm...says volumes about 70s music buying public, I think.

The entire 70's "progressive rock" genre:

Yes
Flash (w/ex-Yes guitarist Peter Banks)
Focus
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
early Genesis
Gentle Giant
King Crimson
Triumvirat
Starcastle
PFM
The Nice
Procol Harum
Curved Air
Daryl Way's Wolf
Camel
Nektar
among others

Anything with Peter Gabriel's name attached to it should never be considered a guilty pleasure!

I'm really surprised you'd list Alan Parsons as a guilty pleasure! The man's a genius! His production style from the 1970s was way ahead of it's time in my opinion.

No guilt about Linda!! She is amazing. She's in my top 5 female vocalists of all time.

Vixen - yeah, guily pleasure but so much cheesy fun!

Ice Cube has a song called 'Smoke Some Weed', it's all good with me.

Guilty pleasures are relative, I've heard people class Fleetwood Mac as a guilty pleasure. I do tend to hide my Barbra Streisand, The Bangles and Reba McEntire collections though...

Hmm...well I used to own albums by both Michael Bolton and Celine Dion. While I do like them both, it just became too embarrassing to have them in my record collection and I gave the albums away (although funnily enough I gave my Celine Dion to my mother who recently gave them back to me after about 10 years )

My most "guilty" musical pleasure at the moment is probably Lily Allen
