Fred Travalena?!

Remember those great impressions of Minnie Ripperton singing "Loving You"? he used to give?

****. There wouldn't have been a Merv Griffin show in the '70s without Fred Travalena.

I remember his Tonight Show appearances, he was quite a talent, right up there with Rich Little.

Yes, indeed. And Danny Gans died not very long ago, according to Jacques Barzun in "God's Country & Mine: A Declaration of Love Spiced With a Few Harsh Words."

And, to make it "THREE", 50's TV icon Gale Storm also passed away yesterday, at age 87.

Anyone remember "My Little Margie" or "The Gale Storm Show"?? "My Little Margie" replaced "I Love Lucy" on NBC, when Desi & Lucy bailed over to CBS.

MY LITTLE MARGIE was a funny show.

Another great artist we lost quite recently is Clive Brook, star of the Dadaesque ON APPROVAL, which I shall soon be featuring in my FAVORITE MOVIES column on my blog.
