Default Anyone bought tickets from street scalpers?

I think this might be my only option. TM is closed and the two I've tried on craigslist are already taken. And the best I can get right now through a broker is 4th row for $209.
Anyone had good experience with getting tickets off the street?

You can't try the Philips Arena box office in person? There are still plenty of tickets available, right?

Yes I did on the CV 2007 tour in Mansfield MA.upgrade from crap $75.00 to $125 3rd row tickets at face value . I had to eat $50 so It was worth the money for it,also I earned an handshake from Stevie during the Edge walk which was priceless. At the same place in 2006 Tom Petty concert I payed $125.00 face value for good seats at his show. i

I have- I got 3rd or 5th (can't remember now because I ended up directly at the stage) row in Charlotte, NC during SYW at face value.

P.S. It was very stressful because it all happened very close to showtime.

Not in a long time, but I've done it before. The only thing I'd be concerned with is buying hard tickets, rather than the do-it-yourself print pass things. Once those are scanned, no one can use the same upc code again.

Keep calling the venue's box office all day and if something pops up, do will call. Most box offices stay open until the end of the event, so hopefully your late arrival time won't be an issue. Good luck!

The lady I bought my tickets from (she and her son had quite the operation going on), actually walked me up to the gate and watched me walk through. I was so stressed out and excited that she offered to do that- ha!

I have a real issue with street scalpers. They are one of the reasons at fans can't get tickets when places like TM sell out so quickly. The same goes for those companies that buy huge amounts of tickets for travel packages etc. I realise that availability of tickets isn't your concern here but I wouldn't trust them. I know this may sound a bit harsh, especially in light of the very positive comments I've read in this post, but scalpers just don't sit right with me.

Good luck and I hope you manageto get from the venue directly.

FYI - The guys working the street are sent out with the tickets that the big agencies haven't sold. These are the guys that are willing to chance getting arrested - the agency owners won't.
They can bargain because what they get paid depends on what they bring back.

Really? I always wondered where the guys on the street got their tickets from.

I also wonder about the ones selling t-shirts. The people selling them aren't the ones who made them. They must have gotten them from organized counterfeiters.

Depending on where you are (whether it be the state/city/proximity from the venue), you can publicly buy/sell tickets legally.

There's always the risk of counterfeit tickets, but, if one is even remotely savvy, I don't think anyone will (go to the effort to) fool them with a counterfeit Fleetwood Mac ticket.

Let's just say that in Los Angeles there are undercover police officers hired to get rid of the scalpers and t-shirt vendors......

You just made me really laugh. The suggestion is that there are fake tickets out there, but they're real sloppy looking. I just imagine the lazy counterfeiters who only fool stupid Fleetwood Mac ticket buyers.

The experts save their pain-staking, precision counterfeit talents for Hannah Montana shows.
