Fantastic review. I loved the way you interspersed Lindsey's quotes (and Stevie's) throughout. What you said about being able to apply Chris' words to BN made me think of the lyric "caught in the middle of an unhappy love affair." That's not how she meant it, she meant being involved in her own unhappy love affair, but I always liked to think of it as being caught in the middle of BN. Hurt just a little. Forgiveness.

Seriously, it's not just her movement that I'm referring to. It's her overall intensity that is just lost right now. Maybe it's the constant touring, maybe it's age, maybe she's in pain, maybe she just doesn't care, or maybe it's a little bit of all of that. But whatever it is, it is clear that she is now a different performer than she was 5 years ago. I really hope the poor reviews she's getting in the press are getting back to her. She really needs to realize how different her demeanor is on stage nowadays and needs to step it up or just stop. I understand if she's simply tired of it all at this point, but like I said, I personally don't want to see her go out this way. I would rather remember her how she was a few years ago and have that be my last memory. Unfortunately, the Pittsburgh show is my most recent memory of her and I'm trying desperately to block that out

I agree 100 percent about the Stand Back comparison. It's really varied each night but it never touches any SYW shows. Watch the Rochester Stand Back for a really great never heard before vocal after her twirls. But yes the overall intensity on Stand Back is down almost 100 percent. But like I said in the other thread where that video was posted the only real downgrade from 5 years ago is Stand Back. Silver Springs is 100 times better adn Gold Dust Woman is as good if not way better.

im partial to GDW on her solo tour
HOWEVER, Silver Springs is kicking ass
after Storms,it's the most vids from this tour i have on my ipod
it's getting better and better each show
i love how she's changed the lyrics up a bit
and she sounds great!

Oh, that was cool. we're finally getting some little vocal variations this tour...Its not the same as 2003, but I think Stand Back is rocking its own 2009, Stevie is 6 years older kinda way....also love this version:
