Oh my goodness. See, I think the band plays it best on the DVD. Those tour performances were pretty darn sloppy, in my view.

But they somehow seemed more real and raw. Even though, since the DVD was the first time, it was probably more authentic. I didn't dislike it, but it seems everyone was talking about it and it just didn't stand out as a high point for me afterwards.

Well, The Dance is certainly quite produced in it's final product, so as far as authenticity, I would say the actual tour performances are a bit more realistic and raw. I think Silver Springs to this day stands out as one of the top pieces on that album. That, Big Love, and Say You Love Me completely sold me on that album as a high school senior at the time. Of course, I had loved the Mac since I was about 7 and became obsessed with Little Lies!
