I hate it when people do that (ESPECIALLY that new Kid Rock song). Are people these days too bad/lazy/untalented to write there own stuff? Their lyrics most of the time stink and then they just steal old melodies.

Not only did he "borrow" from one song, he actually "borrowed" from two; Sweet Home Alabama (of course) and Warren Zevon's Werewolves Of London which, for folks who may not know, John and Mick provided bass and drums respectively.

I know! I hate that he stole from a dead man! Zevon with his ties to at least three of the five FM'ers (He was the roomate of LB, I think) and was an amazing musician. The first time I heard that song, I was so mad. I love getting people on the Mic/John trivia.

Don't you think the fact that he's using the song is a sign of respect for the man's music? I'm not a fan of Kid Rock but sampling is quite a fashionable thing to do at the minute and it can be done with artistic integrity or it can be bland and boring and offer nothing new.

I hate that song too if you going to do a tribute to someone at least just cover the whole damn song instead of stealing them and the song (kid rocks)sucks too I am surprised the record label agreed to put that out on a cd.Warren Zevon is probably turning over in his grave for sure and pretty much most of Lynrd Skynrd are doing the same in there graves.
