The mac album you own but never listen

I own most albums except Time and Penguin (which I eventually downloaded off a blog site and yes, its poor.) I recently picked up Behind The Mask for a £1 from a charity shop. Havent had a chance to give it a spin yet.

To be honest i'd say Tusk. It leaves me cold. Even if it was culled down to be a single LP it would still be lacking in good tunes. Very un-Fleetwood Mac-like therefore it doesnt really work for me and rarely, if ever, gets an outing.

As far as Penguin goes, I would tend to agree with you on some aspects. Roadrunner is absolutely unlistenable beyond hideous chalkboard scratching material. However, songs like Nightwatch, Revelation, Bright Fire, and Morning Rain I feel are really good.

Whereas all the albums with Danny that followed I do dig. I love Danny! But I also prefer Jeremy and Peter's work on those to their work on the eponymous. . .

I recently made a list of 20 fave Mac tracks . . . I think it broke down as, and this shocked me:

Stevie - 8-1/3
Lindsey - 7-1/3
Christine - 4-1/3

EIGHT by stevie? Stevie out-numbered Lindsey!!! Christine was half that of Stevie!!!! But it's what my heart told me was true. Isn't It Midnight just missed making the list. That was probably an error.

Oh no I absolutely love Roadrunner and The Derelict....spent years hanging out for more Dave Walker stuff....

maybe its just me...but then I do think Dave Walker is great...his new album is fantastic...

haha.. but I admit I partially agree with AlmostSimon. Though I wouldn't say TUSK is "Very un-Fleetwood Mac-like", cause I think it was just an evolution, specially for Lindsey, but I feel Lindsey started to turn into a more "monotonous" sound.

Mick's book mention Lindsey started to watch all new wave bands concerts, but Fleetwood Mac did not become a new wave band. Instead, it tried to turn into a different sound, a sound that was included also in his solo albums, and that's what I don't like about them, some songs are too monotonus, even some in OOTC though that's is my favorite solo album.

the same here, I'm to the point I rarely even play any Fleetwood Mac officially released music these days.

I listen to them all from time to time, even my least favs. I at least have a couple songs on every single album I like, and have to drag out and hear from time to time. Probably the album I listen to least is Behind The Mask... Mirage is probably right up there too. I like Mirage when I listen to it, I don't know why I never just pop it in *shrugs*.
