Did they verify that she had mono with a lab test? I assume that she did actually have mono at one point, but they assumed her later problems were still due to mono? It's just weird, because the s/s of diabetes certainly don't mimic those of mono. Did she not have the typical excessive thrist/hunger/urination, or did they blow it off? In any event, I hope she's well now - and I hope you've found a new doctor.
