DICK - plain and simple. He's out for himself and will throw anyone under the bus if it means saving his own hairy ass or making himself look good in any way. He's a two-faced back-stabbing kiss-and-tell LOSER whose mental capacities are beyond repair due to his brain being saturated in alcohol for so long. Anything he says needs to be taken at face-value as he's also a NOTORIOUS LIAR!

Here are some pretty interesting quotes from Stevie regarding her relationship with Joe Walsh:
assuming this one is about Joe.... Reflections from the Other Side of the Mirror - 1989 (About 'Long Way to Go')"This song was not written in such a nice way. This happened to be an experience that I had with somebody that I did very much love who we had broken up a long time before, a year before, and I had just finished Rock a Little. And I walked into my house with Rock a Little under my arm and the phone rang and it was him. And he wanted me to drive two and a half hours to wherever it was that he lived. And I was very tired and it was very late, like three-thirty, four in the morning. I turned around to somebody that was living in my house at that time and I said 'Should I go?' And they said, 'Well, it's a pretty long way to say goodbye...again. Stevie, it has taken you an awfully long time to get over this. Do you want to go down and start it up again?' So I went back and forth in my mind and finally he said 'I'm sending a limousine for you.' And I said 'Alright.' And so, chump that I was, I got in the car and drove down there and played the record for him and he kept it, which I will never forgive him for. And I think the last thing that I did say to him was 'You know, it's a real long way to come to say goodbye again. I thought we already did that. Have fun, tell the world,' which basically means words you don't say over the radio. 'Goodbye, forever this time. Don't ever call me again.' And he put me in the car, and I was hysterical, in tears, and I cried all the way home. And I said to myself, I will never, ever, ever put myself in that position again. Nobody will ever do that to me again. As much as I loved him, I will never let that happen again." BBC Interview with Nicky Horne ~ August 27, 1991 (about her relationship with Joe Walsh)"We went on the Wild Heart tour and after about a week I went into a bar and he [Joe] was sitting there and he just looked up at me and that was it. It was love at first site. You should have seen me, I went and yelled at people about his sound checks. I bought him incredible silk shirts and leg warmers that he wore! I took really good care of him and I think that is what scared Joe the most because I was too in tune with him and he was too used to being out of tune with everyone. I really understood him well. I was really hard nosed about him. If my house was full and Joe called I would tell everyone to get out. BBC Interview with Nicky Horne ~ August 27, 1991 (about why she broke up with Joe Walsh)"What happened at the end was I was getting ready to cut two songs with Waddy Wachtel producing and we only had two nights to rehearse and Joe had been off in New Zealand or something and he came down about one or two in the mornting or something and he was real good friends with everyone in my band. That would have been fine any other night but I was really angry with what Joe had done because he completely screwed up that session. He just had everyone dying laughing because he just tells a hundred jokes and everyone was just rolling in the floor laughing and I was going “this is not fair” because he is not being sensitive at all to this whole situation and “you know I would give up anything for you, even my dammed career for you if he was serious enough." I had a limousine and I asked Joe if he wanted to take me home or come home with him and he said, “well, I didn’t tell you this but I’m leaving for Australia like tonight and I have to pack so I’m just going to get a ride home with Waddy” and I said “ok” and started walking towards the door and I turned around and said “Joe I don’t like where this relationship is going cause it’s not going anywhere and I don’t want to do it anymore.” And I started walking towards the door and he said “well you know, if you walk out the door, you basically cease to exist.” And I just din't stop walking." BBC Interview with Nicky Horne ~August 27, 1991 (about whether she still loves Joe Walsh)"I will always love Joe. It will probably be hard for me to find somebody else that ever ever made me feel like Joe did. [After the breakup] At that point I just thought it was over, I thought that I would just be an old maid and just live with a bunch of dogs and cats in the mountains somewhere and that would be it because there just wouldn't be anything else for me."

I heard the Stern interview. The story behind the song goes like this....Dave woke up the next day and Joe Walsh called Stevie on the phone, though they were broken up, and Stevie said to Joe, "Don't Come Around Here No More." Then she kicked Dave out.

Howard Stern always wants to find out about Stevie's love life. He did
that to Joe Walsh also. I bet Stevie will never be on his show. My guess would be Stevie just blows them off. They should be thankful she went with him... Also I heard he was gay, after his marriage to that girl from bananna..... Whatever... Darla QUOTE=tlssln;766629]Indeed! Dave Stewart is an ass too for saying what he did. What purpose did that statement of his serve? To kiss Howard Stern's ass? How lame. I don't know how Stevie can forgive these guys and help them out and speak well of them. I think she should punch them both out.[/QUOTE] |
