Huh? I don't get it.... So is he saying Stevie believed she had sex with him two times or they really did have sex two times or at all for that matter? And what sort of explosive situations...about what??
I wonder if Stevie knows that song is about her as she sings backup on it. Considering how she complains about Lindsey saying she was "shacking up" in GYOW, and how she really wasn't shacking up with anyone, I would think she would be pretty offended by his account of this song.

Stevie doesn't sing back-up on that song. Tom Petty said he used Stevie's back-up singers on a day that Stevie was not in the studio.
I went to the website of this radio show, and they have shows available for download, but you have to buy a membership. I would like to hear if he gives details on the "explosive situations". Incidentally, this is the second time that some cad has gone on the radio to talk about Stevie's private matters. Apparently, Joe Walsh did the same thing on Howard Stern. |

Well, I guess you could toss Don Henley into the mix as well in terms of "cads" who have aired out private matters. But Joe was an absolute raving drunk that Stern took advantage of at the time. Joe's cleaned up and been sober for quite a while. Stevie & Joe have managed to rebuild fences since that time. Stevie is "Sister Honey." 'Can we still be friends? The answer's always yes.' That's a Stevie Nicks trait that amazes me to this day. |

I don't really know what he said since I only read about it second hand. Something vulgar about how she was only a road lay.

I disagree with judging a potential lover/relationship on looks alone and actually consider Dave Stewart to be attractive - he certainly is a lovely guy, not to mention immensely talented - but if you're wondering about a physical attraction, legend has it that the guy is rather well built downstairs if you get my drift. Remember, he and one of the most incredible women in the world, Annie Lennox, were an item for quite a few years.

Indeed, Joe was there. And, according to a fan who gave a review on The Nicks Fix, he was also at Stevie's concert, backstage, during the Cleveland at Blossom Music Center, and Stevie acknowledged him there. (6/25/05)

I read Don Felder's book too and what he said about Walsh was rather illuminating and helped to explain (at least to me) how he could say some damn nasty things about Stevie on Stern's show. Anyway, Felder was closer to Walsh than the other band members and they hung out together, taking fishing trips, etc. with one another off-the-road (along with one of the guys from Chicago). When Walsh was at the height of his addictions, marriage falling apart, in danger of being fired from the Eagles, etc., Felder personally drove Walsh to rehab.
Yet when Henley & Frey fired Felder, Joe Walsh just stopped talking to him altogether. Now there may be a bit more to that story than is being told by Felder and maybe there were some things Felder did to end that friendship other than the fallout with Henley & Frey, but Felder seemed genuinally hurt that after being there for Walsh during his addictions and recovery (their daughters were also close friends), and when he most needed Walsh's friendship, Walsh vanished. So that for me was a little insight into Walsh's "character" or lack therein. But Dave Stewart???? Yeah it would ahve taken a lot of drugs for me to have done him. LOL. |
